Can't wait to see and or hear the new exhaust. I wanna have my Marthy exhaust on before the start of the next riding season.

I agree I'd like to see it under the bike, slightly better balance. But I would also like to see it side mounted just because I haven't seen one on a 6R.

There's 2 reason why I want to do the side mount exhaust. 1- I've been ask if I could do it. 2- Center stand...
Once you get one mocked up I'd love to see it. It may sway me from the Viper. Either way I am definitely going Marthy, just a matter of which one and when.

Marthy, one question about your exhaust system. Does it effect the catalytic converter? Will I still pass California C.A.R.B emissions tests?
Don't think his system or any full system has a cat. I think CA is the only state that performs emissions on bikes. Some states don't even have inspection for bikes.

I'll ask the dealership how other riders deal with it. There is the option of keeping the old exhaust and changing it back to stock for emissions test.

NOP!
Anything other than stock will not pass the test. That include exhaust and ASI system. Unless you put a PCV and "know" someone. You can lean the $hit out of it for the test and put the standard map back in... but I'm not sure about it. I know how to make noise and power... not much about emission. (or care...) LOL
I didn't think CA had emissions for motorcycles.

Here's the new addition to the Marthy Exhaust family, Delkevic. It's a direct replacement to the Viper, fit right in. If there's anything the can is a bit smaller, and louder!!! Kind of sound good... I'm uploading a video on YouTube right now... will be posted later. My phone doesn't make good sound video but you should have a good idea.
It came with the mid pipe (2003-5 R6) It will fit great has a side mount exhaust too, just need to add few inches on the headers to be the right length and figure out a support bracket. I'll try to get it done tonight.

Looks like it sticks out a lil bit further. Are the horsepower and torque gains the same as the viper? Looks really good, I think I like that better than the viper.

It's about the same size... I'll post side by side pics.
Hum, you're right! The can itself is the same size but the inlet part is a bit longer. It can be cut a bit...

No need to cut it, looks good. That can looks better than the viper. How much louder? Are you gonna add that can as an option on your site? If so, same price or different? Thanks...

The Delkevic will be one the site, same price as the Viper. It is louder, kind of hard to put a number on it. I do not think it's too loud... might be about the same with the mid pipe???
As for the side mount I still have to make the fist one... might be a little bit more expensive. Already I have to either buy an expander or go to the muffler shop to get the 2" diameter expand to fit the mid pipe (up to R6 dia.) Just not sure how much that will cost yet. Also I need to make an extra bracket on the foot peg to support the can.
Ooooooo I really like the look of the Delkevic! I know the sound didn't transfer well but it sounds good from what I could tell.
An aftermarket exhaust is definitely something I want to do, but I don't think it will fit in my budget this year

Well you ask, I deliver!!! Here's the Delkevic side mounted exhaust. Still need a bit of TLC but it's how it's going to look. This is as far back as I can go without having to make a bracket that look ugly. I use the peg mount and replace the pin by a bolt to secure the bracket. I tried to flow with the lines of the bike as much as I could... Keep in mind in the video that my phone is not the best tool for video and sound. And don't forget that with the FZ6 cams the bike sound sound a little less smooth at idle.

You are making it hard for me to decide what I want to try to do this winter... Viper or now this can!
It looks like while you tie into the passenger peg, you do not lose the peg correct?
Seeing this pic makes me wonder about saddle bags, hard or soft. Looks like the tip of the exhaust is relatively close. Are the bags safe from the heat?
Are you able to do the side can style with the Viper also if chosen?
Where is the can bolted in the first pic? I can't see a bracket. Is it right behind the rear brake lever? I think I like it mounted better in the stock location. Will the silencer you have for the viper work for the Delkevic? Thanks
