We used to put the strangest things in the log books on base. My chief used to get a kick out of reading my entries...

things like:

0115: HN ##### entered the barracks and did not appear to be well, he was able to properly salute the flag, permission was granted for him to go to his rack.
0117: Strange sounds came from HN #####'s room. We on watch are unsure if he has expelled his night or if the failed experiment in his fridge has given life and is in search of a meal.
0121: Checked HN ######'s room, he just lost his entire nights work but he is starting to look better now, though he will never look good. LT. ***** stated he feels for his wife...

Various things like that. We would get even more creative with the entries from time to time. On the weekends we used to sit there coming up with interesting plays on words to enter for various happenings.
