2014 FZ6R. I can’t get my bike to start. I recently pulled off the crank case cover on the left side of the bike because it was damaged and needed to be replaced. I made sure to pay close attention to how everything was installed and as far as I could tell all the parts inside the cover were put back as I found them. I got it all buttoned back up, and went to turn the bike on to go for a test ride however the bike would not crank. There’s power when I turn the key and all lights are working so I figured that rules out the battery but for some reason it will not even try to crank. It just kinda makes one little click when I push the button to turn it on. Tried it in gear, in neutral, kickstand up, kickstand down, nothing works. Anyone know what may be happening or how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Double check the battery to be good. Wife's 6r behaved like that once, we put in a new battery, and it fired right up. Best wishes hope you can resolve the issue.

Not sure if the battery is the issue cause all the lights are working just fine when I switch the key on. I’ll try it though. Thanks for the tip.

Did you get it working? This happened to me the other day, I figured it was probably the gas tank because it was kinda low, I put the bike level and opened the gas tank, closed it, tried it again and it worked perfectly fine again. Give it a try!

Unfortunately that didn’t do it. Bike was level, opened the tank, closed it and pushed the button, nothing. When I push the start button it makes like a high pitch whining noise but that’s it.

This was the same on the wife's 6r, lights but no fire. New battery and it fired right up. Not saying this is your issue but have the battery load tested to know for sure.

Well unfortunately this wasn’t the fix. Took it and got it charged but sadly no dice. Appreciate the recommendation though.
