  • I know a few guys around here with sportbikes, maybe we can get a ride organized this spring.
I see you're from Yorktown, I'm from the Muncie/Upland area. Cool to see another local fz6r rider.
The plan is yes....BUTTTT We just are buying a house, the deal comes out of underwritting tuesday so if everything goes through I think money will be saved to recoup between my job loss and buying a house, in that event we may not make it down there.
Thanks for the info! I like the white too...I am looking at a Fender Eliminator Kit just reading that some people have said the back tire has hit the license plate so that is of concern but it sure look alot better than the fender. Nothing else on the cards for now, want to enjoy the bike and then decide what to do
Appreciate your response as well as pictures! The dealer ddint have a 2010 on the floor and in order to move this one, he gave me an incredible deal so realistically speaking, I cant complain. I took the flames off the fairingand obviously am just left with a solution for the tank. I am going to get pricing to sand and repaint although I have seen a type of stomp grip that can be custom cut the same as the pattern and overlayed. This is a much cheaper option around $50. Apart from the flames, I am thoroughly enjoying this bike...have you done any other mods?
Am just curious to know how you got an all white tank? I recently purchased a white FZ6R and cant stand the stripes it comes with. Problem is the gas tank has a coating over it so I am unable to remove those stickers. Any thoughts, comments or input is appreciated
I installed it myself and no problems with it . It is specific to our model as well. The only problem with the centerstand is that it is in the way for most aftermarket exhaust. Not a problem for me because I will keep mine stock.

They're good/bad for visibility. The stock FZ6R mirrors give you more of a direct behind you look where as the GSXR mirrors give you more of the blind spot look. But the way that I have the mirrors tilted, the direct behind me look can be visible if my move my arm. So basically my arm is blocking the behind me view. I've always checked my blindspot by turning my head so the mirrors have no use for me really. The main reason I got them was for the turn signal in them. I wanted more visibility for the cagers in front of me.
