You and me both, brother. Thursday can't come soon enough. Gotta keep my game face on when I go to the dealer though, as I haven't signed the paperwork for the accessories.

They initially wanted to charge me $180 to put on $2000 worth of accessories. Well I canceled the Arrow lowboy exhaust which knocked the cost of the accessories down to $900. So I sent an email asking if they could install the other accessories for free, and he sent back a reply saying they'd drop the install cost to $75. I still haven't paid for them, so I'm wondering if I should press the issue by letting them know if they don't do it for free, I can get the parts cheaper somewhere else and do them myself. We'll see. Don't want to piss off the people who are responsible for warranty and other work on my bike. Kind of like pissing off a waiter. Never a good idea. I'll try and be diplomatic about it, and honestly $75 ain't bad for all the doodads I'm getting, but since I'm paying full MSRP + $800 shipping and $150 title and registration fees, I'm not inclined to pay for them to put stuff on since they have to set it up anyway. What do you think?

I think I wouldnt complain beings their shop rate is most likely $90 an hour, they are doing you a favor. Im really suprised you held off on the exhaust. What your paying for the bike is because of A.) your area and B) Limited availability/stock versus demand so you really dont have much barter room. Bikes contrary to popular belief are actually pretty small profit margin for a dealer. They make their money on the uncrating fee's ect, not off the price of a bike. Their reserve is 250-1000 on average compared to 3,000 on a new car.

Exactly what Dart said!!. I love this bike. It is the perfect bike for me when I am by myself. Gas mileage is good, plenty of power. Just have to buy the luggage when finances and job settle down. (Got news last week that I could possibly be without a job in December... and we just got a house last fall
)Wife wants something like a Venture, Me a Concourse... You know how that goes for when getting a tourer for riding with the lady.. We will probably get the Cruiser style instead of the sporty tourer.This being my first bike, I will probably keep it indefinately. I'll probably end up keeping the 6R until it craps out many, many moons from now. What I *do* plan on adding to the stable is a cruiser decked out in full for touring. (i.e. luggage racks up the wazoo, hella comfy seats, etc.) 2 up riding on the Fazer? Fun, but it's not a full-on touring bike, as we all know. I'd love to be able to have the wifey (as she'll be in 2 weeks) hop on the back, put *all* our clothes and whatever else we've got packed in the racks, then ride off to Cali, Oregon, wherever.
But in the meantime, I <3 our bike. It's a heckuvalotta fun!

Just like most people here, I plan to keep the 6R until it can run no more! At that point, as much as I LOVE riding, I plan to get a car to be able to take my son anywhere and to be able to go grocery shopping at Costco.
Ok, I will give you for your son.. But Costco is no excuse. I go to Sand club and costco quite a bit on my bike. I just toss on my saddle bags and tail bag. Come home with tons of stuff..

6'4 205lbs... bored with the FZ6R about 6 months after I bought it. Granted I live in Southern CA with tons and tons of open, straight roads mostly dominated by GSX-R's and Hondas... so getting my doors blown kinda hurts the ego.
But luckley, I'm moving to Italy in July, and where I'll be living is 14% flat -- rest are twisties. So, this should re-vamp the love I have for the FZ6R.
But if you were to ask me today to go get a new bike? I would. I'd get the 848 Evo, or the new 1199.

I just recently went through some brainstorming about upgrading to a Daytona 675R.
After much debate I decided to just pay off the 6R and then get another bike and continue payments. It's too good of a value to sell. With this thinking-- I should be making payments for the rest of my life!

I put my TBR Exhaust on today.... i changed my mind... im keeping her for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.....
It's amazing what a difference that exhaust note and a few extra ponies makes, isn't it?
ya you aint kidding man! i just went for my first ride on it tonight right after we finished the TBR, PC5, and Injection Block off plates then loaded one of marthys maps on it and BAM brand new sixer!!! i love it muahahah throws me to the passenger seat in first and second and inches the front wheel off the ground in first without dumping the clutch >SEX<
