What did you do to your bike today?

screwed up... Forgot key in ignition today "ON" in my garage.. This evening bike is dead.. Was on for maybe about 8 hours or so...

Hooked it up to the battery tender and PRAYING PRAYING PRAYING that the battery comes back!!! It is a new battery I just got about a month or so ago!

Saturday night I went up to hang out with a old friend.His 10yo loves riding with me.So Iv been taking him for a ride everytime I go there.I took him for the longest ride yett Saturday.We went through downtown Indianapolis, and around the loop at the monument.It was alot of fun, I got to ride on old brick road, and we saw 2 nerds dressed up like the ghostbusters trying to pick up chicks I guess lol.They had the backpacks and guns with working lights.It looked just like them.At first I thought it was people being paid to promote something because a bunch of girls were taking pictures.But I noticed they were in front of a UPS store, and the girls all walked away laughing after getting the pic.Just 2 nerds lol

Changing the clutch today... and as a special request from Mr. Dart, doing a "How too" also. But roughly... at 33K miles my springs are at the minimum service limit.

55mm - 54mm (mine are 54.0 to 54.2) limit set at 52.3

Will measure the clutch disc in a bit...

Ok, I think I got it under control. R6s not = FZ6R (accordingly to EBC rep on the phone) Someone else mistake again...

But the good news is all the discs are the same but the first one going in. The inside diameter is a bit larger to go over the bevel washer. The kit I got were all the same. So since the fist original disc were still in the middle of the tolerance I kept it. All the other one were at the minimum.

WOW... Did alot of work there!! Nice Job!!
-Although we are talking about Marthy here..... all that is probably equivalent in difficulty to putting down a Leggo my Eggo Waffle! LOL


Have had my bike hooked up to the Battery Tender Jr. since the above post.. This morning I could see the "N" light light up a bit and I could hear the attempted "self diagnostic humm". Tried the ignition and heard the clicks.. Thinking I might be able to start it up when I get home (10 hrs more since this check in the morning) or by tomorrow morning my light might be green..

i rode my bike to locust grove va yesterday.... rode home in the chilly night weather ( an hour ride) then rode my bike down 619 to Quantico national cemetery to "visit" my mom and wish her a happy birthday....today she would have been 40...

i knew the ebay flush mounts i was going to get was not going to be bright enough, especially for those in front of me to see, so i took care of that. Will upload video in mod thread

Started the cleaning process after that trip. Will take her out for a ride tomorrow. But i have new chain, sprockets, tires, and spark plugs all on order. Shes going to be stripped down and cleand and those items replaced before we hit that track in a month

Do you use different tooth sprockets on your bike ?


Anyway i got my spools in the mail and put them on def a lot better when lifting my bike and need to torque something down on it.

Anyway i got my spools in the mail and put them on def a lot better when lifting my bike and need to torque something down on it.

Stock gearing but I use Driven lightened steel sprockets. Lighter, last for two chains worth (I used to change them with every chain change but realized that they still looked brand new after one) and they look much better in black. I ran the -1 front sprocket once, but really didn't like the way the bike felt overall. Lots of punch out of the turns, but too many gear changes needed on roads that I normally would just run in 3rd the whole time. Plus cruising on the freeway @ 8000 RPM in 6th gear sucked. I might put it back on for the track. I'm at least going to bring it with me as something to try. I tend to run out of steam in 3rd gear on the straightaways at Chuckwalla, but shifting into 4th then back down to 3rd a second later makes it tough.
