What Not To Wear (while riding)

my co-worker said that as a newbie rider, trying to be courteous and pulling into the turn-out is a daunting task too. he said that he did that as cars were piling up behind him. but, it's actually harder than it seems. and, the pressure of having to suddenly pull out off the road and try to stop safely on un-even ground in such a short distance caused him to actually tip over and he damaged his bike... =\ after i heard his story i thought maybe it's better to just be an ass and make everyone behind wait then? :lol: we [newbies] can't seem to win no matter what... :sigh:
By no means should anyone put themselves into a dangerous place on the road just to be courteous, I don't think anyone here was saying that.

Tell me these cyclist are being safe riding side by side on this road.
This is a good example of why you should be in full leathers on this road. It'll jump out and bite you big time the minute you get comfortable on it. He was probably getting too confident and over cooked it.
I'd hate to see what this guy looked like if he had the same thing happen.

Since we decided not to pick on cruisers and such I won't post up the dozens of pictures of guys and girls in tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, etc... from the last couple of weekends. Hot weather really makes the squids surface.

Since we decided not to pick on cruisers and such I won't post up the dozens of pictures of guys and girls in tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, etc... from the last couple of weekends. Hot weather really makes the squids surface.

We've had some VERY hot weather the last week. 100ºF+ in the east county. My house was 108º Saturday when I got home from leading a group ride In Full Leathers! But the heat really flushed out the calamari on the roads we were on. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem like most of them were on Palomar or Highway 94. Not a whole lot to post form this weekend compared to what we saw on other roads. But as usual, there's a handful of those who think they're invincible.
Do people really think that long sleeve t-shirts or even sweatshirts will protect at all? Might as well in in a short sleeve shirt if that's all you're going to wear.
This one is just confusing.
I'll check out Highway 94 Photo when I get home.
