What is a real biker?

A real biker is someone who dresses properly on a consistent basis (ie protective gear), rides through many different weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc) and loves their bike more than their significant other

Someone who rides a motorcycle and truly doesn't care what others think.
Its a combination of everything said in the video.... just like the two or so responses before me..
$20,000 and 2,000 miles doesn't make you a biker.....$20,000 and 200,000 miles does!
Somebody who rides a motorcycle.
Period.
Try to narrow it from there and all you're doing is making some people feel unwelcome, which is not good for any of us.

A real biker doesn't have clean gear. It's covered in dead bugs, and it stinks.

Well said, everyone in a certain motorcycle clique is going to have their own answer. The real answer is as you stated; anyone who rides, Period!!! Harley/cruiser riders have their own mantra, same with SS riders, and touring guys. Their answers will all differ, but the commonality is that they are all on a bike and all doing it because they love it.

not exactly defining a biker but IDK where I heard this but the other day someone said to me "if you get of your bike so you can go into the store and you dont look back smile and think to yourself (that is MY BIKE) then you got the wrong bike"

I don't care if you live the lifestyle or are simply a weekend warrior.
To me, It's anyone who owns a motorcycle legally, has a license & the required insurance & has ridden more than 1 mile on the bike. Period.
You are either on two wheels or you aren't. I don't think someone who has the above but rarely rides is a "poser"

When you're so excited about owning your first bike, and the only riding experience you've had is in an MSF course yet you managed to ride it 60+ miles from a dealer in Philly to your home in Lancaster county PA. Yes Im bragging a bit.

You better love it more than life itself if you let your significant other hear that you love it more than her/him! LOL you either wont have a bike/S.O, or your life after that were to come to light! LOL

Never considered myself a "biker" just a "motorcycle enthusiast".
"Biker" to me means you ride a Harley and are a member of a gang, why I never considered myself a "biker".

Well.. my wife was very upset because I've spent about 1-2 hours last Weds, Thurs, and all day Friday (Sportbike Course).. lol so I guess I can be considered a biker?
