Not that CA the California CA LOL, the one with too much traffic.
I knew it was California lol, I just didn't know if you lived near the mountains.
Traffic does suck with standard, but luckily I have long drives with smooth sailings most times.
I'd prefer stick in all my vehicles since you have more control, but it does suck in bad traffic. I had a Z28 with 6 speed hurst and got stuck in traffic a few times causing some severe foot cramping. Most of my vehicles have been stick. Sucks that it's not even an option on most cars and trucks anymore.
We are having a freak snow storm in my area... Didn't think I was going to make it home...

i had a 94 camry le when i started here, then the trans gave out at 220,000 miles and i bought a 2009 yaris, that i traded in 6 months ago for a 2004 ford f150 XLT super cab with the 4.6l small block v8, i haven't done much to my truck, the yaris had audio, window tint, custom paint work, rims and a stage two intake, so far the truck has a 12" rockfordfosgate punch ps3 sub in a mtx stealth box, with rockford fosgate prime speakers, 6x8's in the back and 5" in the front and pioneers app radio sph-da02 head unit ( that i can not say I'm very happy with) I'm looking to upgrade to a jenson in dash dvd unit.
i do however have a few things in mind for the future i plan on putting a 4" lift on the truck, fender flares, a cold air intake and the computer chip upgrade... come spring ill be putting a bed liner down in the bed. and hopefully rabitman on here will be able to help me out with some HID's later on too.

So almost 2 years ago my wife's Ford Ranger was about dead so we traded it in and got her 350z I posted about earlier in this thread. The last couple of years are the first that I've ever gone without having a truck. Either my own truck or my wife having one. I missed it. It got so annoying having to borrow a truck from a family member anytime I needed to haul anything or take the bike to the track on the trailer. So I finally decided it's time. So this morning I went and got a 2014 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner Edition.
I'm so happy. I haven't had a new car in 10 years. It's nice to have a modern vehicle with things like Bluetooth, iPod connectivity, satellite radio etc... And the Desert Runner is the exact spec I wanted. It sits a couple inches higher than the 4wd, it has Bilstein off road suspension from the factory, nice wheels and tires from the factory, tow package, and it's rare. After we finished the paperwork and were waiting for it to be detailed the service guy who saw it said they just got that one in a few days ago and there's only 2 others in San Diego county.
The last truck I bought was the original 2000 Nissan Desert Runner in 1999. Pretty much the fully spec'd truck back then was $16,000. I just paid $25,000! lol Damn trucks have gotten expensive. And the absolute fully loaded 4wd Frontier is well over $30,000. Plus, only Nissan and Toyota are making mid sized trucks anymore. It's created a high demand and a lot less supply. So I started looking for used. In all of San Diego county I found about a half dozen mid sized trucks and they were all pretty much either beat up or stripped down spec. People just don't seem to sell them. And the resale value is super high on the ones that are out there. At the dealerships, the few used trucks there aren't really much cheaper than the new ones. They had a 2012 4wd Frontier with 38,000 miles on it and it was only $2500 less than a brand new truck. I was floored.

I sold my 180SX and bought a 2nd hand(140k km) 2007 PJ Ford Ranger (3.0L turbo common rail diesel, 4x4) for around ~18.5 k with rego.
The Ranger ticks along nicely on the freeway, is good for towing and goes offroad, and its not too big, so the fuel bills are good. I'm very happy with it.

I wish we would have had the 3.0l turbo diesel ranger here in the states! I would have been all over that like a fat kid on a cupcake...

There's the 180SX I sold and the Ranger moving an old caravan.
I took the lights off the roof.
I remember a ghost rider came right up behind me one day when I was going North of Nabiac in the 180SX one day. I forgot about it, then there was a story in the paper about how Newcastle teens were driving near there late at night and at speed to make the ghost appear. The headlight comes right up behind the rear window, then its like he goes superclose and lifts up a bit to shine right into your car and you can hear this god-awful loud revving like an old air cooled superbike engine, then the light and sound disappears and you look back and see a red light turning off. The bike jumps up on you like a cat stalking or he was time shifting, by the time you start to freak out you then hear the loud revving, then as you are fully freaking out as if a rider has hit you from behind, then it suddenly goes, then you see the red light. My girlfriend at the time didn't believe me later on when I arrived, so I forgot about it.
My favourite time in the 180SX was at Eastern Creek following a 440kW turbo Falcon with the stage 4 kit that wouldn't let me thru, I was getting up to 245 km/h down the straight some laps. He'd take off at the start of the straight (he said something about a speed limiter still on the flash), then I'd catch him by the end of the straight, then he'd be holding me up and blocking the rest of the time. He had a good sook afterwards too.

Well, here's what I'll be driving this summer instead of riding...
1990 F150. Nothin special other than the standard paint flecking and chipping off which was normal for those years. Replaced the rusty rims with some cheap steelies for it with a bit beefier tires...other than that it's stock lol.
But I will say it boasts electronic fuel injection, overdrive, and a cassette player. Enough accessories to make anybody drool lol Don't need any other fancy jazzy flashy stuff. Although 4x4 would have been nice.
