What did you do to your bike today?

Polished her up. Cleaned and lubed the chain. Fuel stabilizer and put on the cover for the winter. soing can't come soon enough!

Why didn't they run it to redline? Looks like your peak comes earlier than mine, mine doesn't drop out until after 11k rpm. What mods have you done?

This bike has a full ixil exhaust, powercommander 5, after market filter.
They also connected a cable to the pc5 for mapping each gear.

I dont know the reason for not going to redline.

I think they had problems getting a good tune, like on my black bike they didnt manage at all. (Think this was due the stock ecu dual map?)

I didnt get a clear answer becouse they didnt know what the problem was, i think this was the first bike dyno with this kind of mods here.

Could it be that my peak comes earlier due my headers? Or do you maybe run a full exhaust aswell?
(Not sure if thats the correct name for it, i ment the first part of exhaust)

installed the Marthy exhaust (stock headers, viper slip on), ais removed and blockoffs installed (needed for a good dyno tune), pc5 and K&N filter and that's about it... ran Marthy's ADV rev B map that day and had the dbk out (installed it again though, sucker is loud without it!)

Was reading about this block off plate before but was told its not needed.
Was mainly to prevent popping.

Maybe i should put that on and redo the map.

My bike doesnt pop much atm doe.
The few pops thats there aint loud at all.

I think that at the dyno they just pinch a tube to get the same effect, but i might be wrong

What is ais?
Something to help against polution?

IMO Sounds more like they dont know what they are doing, that is a common behaviour from a service provider. When they get stumped on what they are charging you for, they dont provide any reason or reccomendation.

Well I went and visited vineyard

excellent day!

I started the Targa fender eleminator last night and it got dark/cold so TODAY I finished it up, rode the bike to the dealer to have them check brakes (they resurface the pads since they were grinding NEW). excellent first real day/ride with the bike! loving it already. can't wait to get an exhaust installed.

Mrs. Marthy have been riding more & more lately. She's doing really good so far. Building confidence and not getting over her head is the key.

I just installed a Healtech GiPro gear indicator last night. I just need to get it up on the rear stand or take it out for a ride to finish programming. Overall install was pretty easy. I just had trouble finding the light gray wire I needed to tap. Thanks to a tip on here I knew to tap the yellow for power and found that while finding the harness I had to unplug. Instructions still say to use the brown wire for power, but it is indeed a yellow wire. FYI, the gray wire is only gray on one side of the harness. If you look at the crankshaft you can see the wires (with covering) running up under the tank. Just follow them to find it easier.

I've been struggling a bit with the FZ09 map in some area. Bike accelerate too fast to get a good read so I got the bike on the dyno and to make things a bit cheaper and easy I ask the tech to do some pull at 20, 40, 60, 80 & 100% throttle from 4 to 11K RPM. Then use the Autotune / LCD-200 to data log the run and fix the AFR. Once all done I look at the 5 dyno lines... 50% throttle is about what the FZ6R does flat out on a good day [emoji33]

Final numbers were quite impressive too. Torque beast! [emoji57]
