What did you do to your bike today?

I took the bike to work in Isaac aftermath. I checked the weather today and realized it wasn't going to rain in the afternoon, so why not take it? I neglected to check what the wind was doing.... It was an OK ride, but I was very tried after fighting with the wind for 45 minutes in the rain. Bleh! Gracie was awesome, of course, smooth and cool all the way through. I was the only biker out there this morning that I could see 
Well, got it on the bike today... I'm pretty pleased with it... The wind buffeting is now just a smooth flow, and it's almost gone from my neck entirely (which was the point of the Touring Screen for me).
It's light smoke as you can see... I video through the windscreen (you can see one of the cams mounted behind it -- that one is the Drift HD).
It's a keeper...

Took it out for a ride of about 40 mile round trip. Short but nice!
I think marthy should patent his design and then contract someone to make him a couple hundred of them and sell them like a mad man on ebay....
Rode to work and when get home will toss her up on the rear stand, clean the chain, wash the bike (lots & Lotsa bug guts), and wax the chain.
Will open my new grunge brush also, since the other one broke in the same place everyone elses seems too.. Bottom head broke off.. though guess I could keep using the old brush, just take longer doing the top and side brush parts only.

Put 283 miles on her today... Hung out with about 150 Harley's at a 60 mile bike ride through Kansas... Had a lot of looks, some even came over an asked to sit on her... One even said he was going to go test ride one for a second bike to ride on the weekends... Made some twisties on the way home... All in all a great day!
Rained like hell all day so I just looked at her in the garage. Hopefully tomorrow after my son's football game I can do some riding.
I've been building up to today for a couple weeks. First off, lots of miles in the last few months. Time to change the spark plugs again. That alone made a massive difference to how smooth she runs and starts.
The plugs weren't gone, but had worn to the point that the gaps were way off. Over 8k miles in the last six months. Maybe six thousand since I put the last plugs in. For the cost of new NGK plugs, I counted it as a no-brainer.
One of my previous days off, I spent riding around and collecting parts. I ran all over. The parts finally came together from Ace Hardware and five auto-parts stores in two different towns. Lowe's and Home Depot turned out to be a waste of my time. Chores had to be done the following day off. My next day off after that, I built a Manometer. Today, I got to use it. The pic is the levels before adjustment:
The pic is somewhat misleading. It was worse than that when I first re-started the bike, after warming the engine. The levels were crazy. The pic is after things settled down.
It was some P in the A to adjust. The adjustment screws are not turned, but "touched." It took a little while, but here's the end result:
Man, she purrrrrrssss! She just frickin' sounds awesome! Even better than when I bought her. Goosing the throttle results in a smooth, upward sound that I can only describe as a growl. So smooth, it's sexy.
It started raining like cats and dogs not long after that last pic, and still raining, it was well after dark before she was back together. So I didn't get to take her out. Tomorrow, though... Long way to work FTW!!

Sucks hein! Upgrade to the E21 side case was the best thing I did since it rain almost everyday here in Florida during summer time.
