Thanks, theRook. I bought them from Ebay. The seller is very helpful and provides quick shipping.Looks awesome man! Where did u get it? Was it hard to install?
$200! LOL wow... yeah b%$*# please is right. Cool man it really does look good. I'm going to order some. Thanks, theRook. I bought them from Ebay. The seller is very helpful and provides quick shipping.
It wasn't easy, but it wasn't as hard as I had expected it to be. Since my FZ6r is 2010 model, I had to put a black stripe on top of the white one that came stock before applying the reflective ones with the cool gaps.
It's not perfect, but I'm happy with how well they look, specially after some dude at a body-shop quoted me at $200 to put them on for me... b&*#h-please.
What did you clean that thing with?Im just curious.I love this thread. It's the thread that never dies! :zombie:
I took her about an hour and a half north, to Rockingham, NC and reminded myself why I chose the FZ6R over any other bike. It takes an amazing machine to be able to comfortably commute or tour, and then tear up the twisties as well. Ah, the allure of good back roads!
The video, "A Twist of the Wrist II" probably saved my ass, and even after riding since the mid '80's, I believe it has made me a better rider. More info on that in this post:

Cheers to all. May you have a day as good as this one was to me!
Hot water and Dawn dishwashing detergent. Works wonderfully. The bugs on my jacket's shoulders, however? I'll let time erase them. What did you clean that thing with?Im just curious.
I was using windex, and rainx wipes, but I bought a can of this repsol cleaner, and I think im hooked now.
Repsol Cleaner and Polish from SportbikeTrackGear.com
If I let it soak for a few minutes, it will take off every bug with one swipe, it takes me about 3minutes of labor + a few minutes to let it soak to clean my entire bike.
It even has a nice cherry smell wich is nice after you debug the skid lid right before you ride.
It'll be pretty much the same. But your wallet will be much less awesome.I took mine to the dealership to get the 4k maintenance done on it.
Now I'm without it for awhile.
*But* it'll come back more awesome than it was before.
I demand pictures of your bike on the standsToday, well technially yesterday, I met up with another forum memeber who put their bike down last year and finally collected the FZ6r Grips, bar ends and carbon fiber gas cover thing from him along with some t-rex stands. THAK YOU TIM!! then i stopped and got some cleaner and lube for the chain and proceeded to do all the work on my bike so i can take it for an amazing ride later today and in to tomrrow! I'm currently getting ready to go wipe all the pollen off my bike so i don't go in to some freakish sneezing fit, thats what i get for leaving my baby out over night under a cherry tree covered in flowers!
Nice! Thanks for this link! I've been looking for another/better set of stands, and this is a heck of a deal, plus they'll actually ship to Alaska, which most of the other places that have decent prices won't, or it's so expensive as to not be worth it. But $90 for both a front and rear stand shipped to Alaska, is a FANTASTIC deal! Consider yourself repped, sir.Just put these together. They did not come with insturctions but I was ble to put the it together using these picures. Also put on a Puig Dark Smoke windscreen and the T-Rex rear spools.
