The SEARCH feature


and? i know this, we all do it.... that didnt answer my question aether...
 
you have me mistaken for someone who cares....lol

i still want to know if the xj6 and the fz6r exhaust is the same.... they have a lot of options for the xj6...
 
i did... but there is nothing specifically linking to the category ... other than the one were we talked about the gpz exhaust the other day... and the o2 sensor and what not but that didnt answer the question of do the all fit? is it the same application...
 
A feature that would be cool and help a lot with this is if similar topics were automatically displayed based on what you type before you submit your post, not completely unlike googles feature I guess when you're doing a search. You could see all the related topics, and go to one of those without creating a new topic, if a relevant one already exists, all without "going out of your way to search"

Shrug... I dunno, just thinking out loud.

This would be the best thing ever! Can it be done?
 
You probably already know this Maadi, but just Google your question with FZ6R in it, and most all the good answers lead right back to this site, only with all the options that Google offers.

There's no reason to try to recode Google in this site's search engine. Google works just fine. :)

Lets face it, there is no topic that hanst been discussed. I think if it weren't for new people posting new on topics already covered there would be no posts at all !

Wow? Really? Do you two actually read the forum? Bent forks. A frame rebuild. A tire discussion thread. Two electrical issue threads. At least three new bike threads. Myself discussing my recent adventure.

You two have honestly struck me speechless. I have no clue where you are coming from. You must be reading a different forum than I am.
 
It doesn't really matter either way. If they find the old post and then ask a question on that post, someone will say something about resurrecting an old post. Either way they will be told they are messing up. Just gives people something to b***h about I guess. :welcome:

there are very few active veteran members if you will. you may be but almost all of the old crew rarely posts so me and Tony are referring to majority of the life in the forum is new members nothing to get bothered by.

I'm not bothered by you saying that most posts are from new members. That's to be expected. They have the most questions.

What bothered me is where it was said that there is nothing new posted here. Heck yeah there is! All the time. Just click on my avatar and look at where I've posted. All kinds of new questions and answers.

Every single one builds the database of knowledge on the best 6R site on the internet.

The site is not as lively as it was a couple years ago, that's true. But every day there is new content here. New questions, people needing help or just voicing their opinion.

JT, you've been here nearly as long as I have, and you post a lot as well. Latony007, you're no newby either, and you're just as active.

We and some others ARE the active Old School to the new people. Unless we can point to an existing post, or say honestly "Seriously? Use the search. It works." *Oil Thread, cough, cough.* Then it's a new question. It may seem like it's not, but if it doesn't meet the above criteria, it is.

There is new content here every day. I hope you all can see that.
