Paid off!!!!!

Thats the way to do it! My car will be paid off the beginning of next year and that payment will just go on to my bike payment which will pay that off within another year. Then those 2 payments will go onto my wifes car payment haha. Then into the bank!
Payoff anything you can when you have extra money. I dont know what I would do without any auto payments haha. Will be sweeeeet . Of course with my luck, once I get one paid off, it will blow up and I have to get another lol.pincushion79

Haven't had a car payment in about 5 years. Then, of course, my toy breaks down (89 Integra). So now I had to buy a new car. Love the new car, but it sure was nice with no extra bills.
Congratulations!! I HATE having a car/bike payment(though I just started having one to get my own 6R, lol) but I know how gratifying it is to get that monkey off your back. Even if the payment is small.
I've heard nothing but good things about Honda VFR800's. I was actually torn between a VFR and the FZ6R, and went with the 6R because it was a little cheaper(so I'll pay off the loan faster lol) and a lot lighter.
But to be honest I would agree with the others saying, don't get another bike yet and enjoy 6R now that its yours free and clear

Congrats!!! I agree... Enjoy the girl for a while, dont just wine and dine her (monthly payments) then ditch her for another!
Agreed with J! My student loan will be pd off in October (nice birthday gift) and so will the $1k I owed for my ded on my last oncology scan, plan on moving that total amount to other bills to expedite payoff.

I guess I'll take the minority opinion (since I just got another bike), and tell you to look at adding another bike. If you've got the room and can afford it, go for it. The way I look at it is, you only live once and you're not getting any younger. Do what makes you happy, for tomorrow is promised to no man.
I agree with you in theory, but in reality tomorrow does come for most people and they end up posting things on craigslist that sound like "need to sell asap to pay for electricity and heat, asking 18,000 for a 6,000 item because I financed it for 25% over 15 years. No lowballers."
In my opinion if you have to finance luxury items, you can NOT afford them. I would ride the FZ6R for 2-3 years, saving money for the next bike. Then buy it (preferably used) free and clear and have money for long road trip vacation. I followed this plan for the last 12 years and have never had to finance a bike, always paid cash. Started with a $1200 Kawasaki Vulcan.
But that's just me.

I agree, I was originally going to take a loan out for the bike, instead I ended up just buying it straight up and have more than 1/2 way replenished my savings within a couple weeks of owning it. I'm happy
