I remember what I learned on, a 1963 Honda Dream 305. I remember the first one I owned, a 1974 CB125.
Since then there have been 30+ bikes, I don't remember them all. :don'tknow: Lots of UJM's, a few Triumphs, Harleys, and Beemers, and a couple of Guzzi's.
In 40 years of riding, never been down. If I really thought it was only a matter of time before a crash I wouldn't ride. I prefer to stay positive, wear good gear, and assume I won't go down, ever.
The ninja is a great choice. My SO is 5' and has been riding since the 80's the biggest issue isn't always seat height, but reach to the bars. We sold her Guzzi when we sold mine last Fall and picked up the 250 Ninja for her yesterday. I rode it a bit and that thing is FUN!!

That's exactly where I am. I've owned and ridden a ton of bikes over the years, but this riding style is new to me. It's really fun to be learning a new skill at this late date, saw that I could use some pointers so I ordered the video yesterday.
