I haven't found the throttle to be jerky. But with 50ft.lb of torque at 2K rpm... the throttle input is a bit sensitive. B mode wack 10 HP off so yhat might be why its a bit smoother. Personally I prefer the std mode. A mode feel a bit sluggish to me in the bottom end. To be honest I did really experiment much with the different mode.

All I can say is... this is a kicka$$ bike. For a pocket change difference between the 6R and the FZ-09...

Marthy just look how famous you are, over 1600 people read and like 80 posts about your new bike. And half of them want to know when the exhaust was going on :D

1600 of them... hope 1/2 of them buy an exhaust from me! LOL

I agree. Yam need to use this platform and built a sport and adventure bike out of this too.

lol, up to 1700+ and I thought half had bought exhausts from you :)
I think im the only guy in this forum that likes the way the bike sounds stock. My neighbors all love it I can tell you that! I was going to put whisper mode on my license plate (for those that remember blue thunder)

Anyway awesome bike, be safe and enjoy. Little concerned about that front wheel issue your talking about. My nephew has a street triple and although It will certainly do a wheelie I never felt like I had to worry about it doing one without trying. Let us know if lowering the front or other mods change that.

I played around with the mode tonight. B mode really smooth things down. Feep like riding the TB map vs. The Advgear RevB on the 6R. Not a huge difference but theres one. STD feel perfect and mode A is quite nice... BRAPPPP!

Had to take few pics of the harness... EJK fuel management!

for a while they called it sport and rain

some bad memories would make me avoid the "std" mode... just doesn't sound like I'd enjoy riding it... :what:

I lucked out with the ninja 1k, the signals actually look good IMO on that bike.

Interesting, I wouldn't mind something like that for my bike. It would reduce the buttons and seems like a smarter idea anyway. I wonder if this will proliferate the market as time goes on. Hell, I want to see more balance shaft motors......

Nice, my friend's R1 I tried to use the B mode and it was just blah... I pretty much ride his in A or standard.

Though I haven't' ridden his in a couple months now because it's just too hot to be riding an R1 right now.

It needs to hurry up and cool down around here. Last weekend my and about 15-20 others road out to one of the ABATE events at Venice beach for motorcycle awareness. Unfortunately they didn't have a lot going on though. Seems like it should have been better planned. Seemed more like just a buffet and concert and that was it. I did get a free kick stand rest though... One of the Harley dealers was giving them out, I picked one up after talking to the guy for a while about one of the models. It was all blacked out and had the LED headlight kit on it.

Tail is now finish! Proton flush mount front and rear, both as running/signal lights (stobe flash) Just waiting to get my projector done by our world famous Chad.

Waiting for the bike shop to open this morning for my dyno base run... then I will be building the first FZ-09 exhaust!

My plan is to ck out one this weekend . They get it in today . If all looks good we will see about a deposit on red one . We would set it up as a mini sport touring . I would get a russel seat made for 2 up ./ the russel tour seat on the 6r is great . Looks odd but its better than the 1800 wing . The main thing for me is my hands get sore leaning on the r now . But we did lk superior tour in 3 days , 1200 miles . So the up seating would be welcome , and the wife would like the russel seat for the pass. :d

The 9 ride so much smoother than the 6R. 5K rpm @ 75 MPH. The no screen thing is not any worst than the 6R if you keep it under 70-75. The rear shock is a bit weak for 2 up and the seat is about 1/2 thick and the rear pegs are like sitting on a R6.
