Please remember to eventually do one on the subjects of your crash, and street avoidance, strategy, defensive tactics, etc... what we talked about in those posts when I saw my friends minor crash, but still terrifying to see. You are very credible on those subjects!

I'm actually enrolled in an advanced safety course this saturday with my wife as long as the weather permits.

Ordered a spare rotor (for the timing mod), 15t sprocket, oil case cover gasket, chain alignment tool, and spools for the swingarm. Excited for the next couple weeks

Are you drilling and tapping the Swingarm? Or did TRex Racing come through with a set??
-BTW - You aint got time to fumlbin around with that engine - you got a backside to fabricate.

Yeah I plan to drill and tap all the way through each side, get a blt long enough to go all the way through, and add a lock nut on the inside. I wasn't paying $70 bucks for (imo) ugly Trex sliders. I paid $10 shipped for some black ones on amazon.

I've got the rear end sitting in the shop... being reevaluated lol! I hit a snag and I'm not sure how to proceed without modifying the frame in some way. I saw this coming, didn't want to accept it until it was too late haha! I'm still working on it though

I can understand that about the spools. Is there room to clear the chain if you welded a threaded boss on the bottom of the swingarm? These are how my wife's ninja came from the factory. It was a nice touch and something I wish yammie would have thrown in... But again... Idk what the clearance looks like on the drive side.

I have no idea lol. My welder is down anyways so I wouldn't be able to do it myself

Hey. New to posting but viewing the forum for tips and tutorials on the FZ6R. Great site! Been tinkering with my 16' FZ6R ovee tje last month since i bought it in January. Put on fender eliminator, led winker turn signals, motodynamic smoked taillight, led headlight,zx6r mirrors, powergrip tank protector, and decals. Still need to tint windscreen and look into exhaust options.

My fizzer is 'new to me' so I bled the brakes today. On the rear brakes, I learn to unbolt the reservoir and to pull it outside
The frame to unscrew the cap and refill. And, man, did the brake fluid need to be changed. It looked like CocaCola!

Not today but over the past week:

• installed Denali SOund Bomb
• Installed custom fairings
• repainted the tank
• added Blue Rim Tape
• Put new Air Filter K&N of course
• Attached USB
• Feather Weight Lithium battery (3lbs OMG)
• Painted Subframe

Lastly Cried because it was supposed to be done over 4 days. Also learned Harbor Freight is my TARTGET

Maintenance Day!

Set the chain tension, then cleaned and lubed it.

Then pulled and repacked the 2 Bros. Really needed it but didn't help the volume as much as I hoped.

Put the bike in a false neutral for the first time ,scared the balls off me ,thought that the transmission exploded and she was done for

I replaced my Yamaha windscreen w/ an eBay shield. The Yamaha shield was yellowed with age and, after watching Half-Click Up's video, I decided to take a shot at it. It's a 5 minute job and I got to use my 2.0 JIS screwdriver

Well, it's been few days now but love how it turned out. Wanted to make the 15 yo girl with 59K miles look a bit more modern LOL. Got a Puig fly screen now, maybe on the next pic and almost done installing the tire hugger too. Went with the aftermarket first Gen FZ09 headlight with LEDs, Pro tapper handlebars 1 1/8" and fake carbon XJ6 bodywork... with extra wings.

Still rocking the twin outlet stock exhaust for now. Debating going 2-Bro or custom make one again... because I know a guy that can make it cheaper

I didn't know you still had an Fz6r Marthy! Nice looking bike! Don't overlook the Hindle exhaust as well, cheaper than the two bros and IMO looks very nice.

I sold it back in 2015 to a friend that only put 250 miles until I bough it back 2 years ago. Been wanted to turn it into a naked ride for some time now and finally went for it before the holidays. Between the luggages and fairing the bike feel 40lbs lighter LOL

I bet! That's the one thing I don't love about my bike is how top heavy it feels with a full tank. I bet luggage would add to that haha!

If you end up doing something custom again, 2nd gen R6 oil pans bolt right up with one extra oil pan bolt. Wipes out the previous fitment issues using an R6 header and makes a custom exhaust unbelievably cheap.

New chain and sprockets went on yesterday. JT sprockets -1 in the front and +2 in the back. Driven Racing gold chain and new fancy red sprocket nuts.
