small OPEN hose hanging right side towards bottom , what is it?
dealer said it was gas overflow, im like wtf ????
that makes no effin sense man.

And don't freak out when you see it dripping either or what looks like an oil spot on the ground below it. When gas is on asphault, etc and dries up, it looks like an oil ring.

No worries. Just normal bike stuff.

why on a bike vs car, because the tank is in direct sunlight ??

and do all bikes have this ?

what if ppl park in garage, does gas gradually build up and garage start to smell like gas, or is it just vapors ? or drip if left in direct sunlight ?

It is usually for when in hot direct sunlight. The tank gets hot, gas gets hot, pressure/fumes need to go somewhere.

Never had mine drip in garage. Only when parked in sun

Thanks to everyone who answered in such a respectful fashion :) <3

Funny, this was the first question I asked myself after I bought the bike and was changing the oil. I scoured that owners manual, cause I swore I must have disconnected something by mistake getting the fairings off.

Cars do have a similar system but it's often a small valve closer to the tank, also your bike should have 2 hoses, one for pressure relief of the gas tank, and a second that is connected to the ring around your filler "neck" which if you overflow your tank it will seep out through there
