Im curious, did you check the price tag on that bad boy?
20k base, with the options they had spiked it with I think it was around 25k.. And yes, I thought

I like Harleys, would definitely consider having one as a second bike for cruising with the wife.

That's why he had to sell the 6r. He probably looked like a monkey f***ing a football.
While the Road glide is nice, i can't get past the fairing. I like the street glide better. They are both extremely comfortable. I almost bought a street glide last year.

I love harleys, I think they look cool as hell, just think they way overpriced. My dream bike was the v-rod until the diavel came out.
As long as you don't customize it with handle bars that go over you head.. They are cool as hell. I don't like the fairings thou.

I am with Chad on this...I like the street glide, not a big fan of the road glides and their fixed fairings.
I have sat on one many of times, even thought about renting one for a weekend.

I'd be happy for you if you wanted to try one.They just aren't me.The fashion definitely isn't me.You know what Harley gear is considered in these parts.A motocross T-shirt under a race jacket just wouldn't fit in at the Bean Blossom Boogie..Sadly an event sponsored by ABATE, that doesn't promote safety what so ever.
I went to school with a guy that died on a HD over the weekend.They just aren't me personally.

When I did my ride to Laconia bike week last year I end up riding with some friends and family member who had H-D's. We stopped to few different H-D dealership to take a break. I sat on a few of them while chilling.
I'm not planning to get one anytime soon but if you gave me 40K to go buy myself a bike to pound miles and miles of touring 2 up... I'll get one of those dump truck size bagger for sure!
They are a different bread of bike for a different kind of riding.

Definitely get two! I bought a FJR1300 this weekend, and I have to say, the difference is incredible! I have the FZ6R for the quick trips and when I just want to have fun, and then the FJR is VERY comfortable for longer distances and commuting. I do feel like a sell-out with the electric clutch, but the sport dynamic is still there so I don't feel so bad.
All in all, if you can afford it and have the space, I would definitely recommend having two.

My face exactly when my wife says she wants us to have a cruiser and that style is the only kind of cruiser I like! LOL
I say go for it... then you have a playtoy for yourself but also have something a little more relaxing for when she rides with and wants to relax rather than hang on!
Only problem is affording those ones, OUCH!Invader Jim

You need two bikes, one for you and one for your wife. She needs to buy herself a cruiser. Riding is much more fun than being a passenger.
