long night .... second forum snake hunter

well... got sprockets/chain in... so, headed to the shead for some tools.... I startled a black snake (and he startled me)... sucker fell off a shelf behind a bunch of boxes.... so, not wanting to leave him there, started pulling out boxes, tool cases. etc. found him curled up in the corner... sucker bolted across the shed into more of my junk...

two hours later... my shed's clean... reclaimed half the space (my kids have a habbit of getting stuff out, then just throwing back in.... ugh).. no snake, guess he knew his escape route and thats where he was headed for when he shot across the floor.
Little guy, about 1 1/2 to 2 in diameter and about 3-4 ft long.... but it was kinda funny... oh... and found that I interupted his dinner... found a dead mouse right where he fell...

needless to say... all I got done tonight was putting on the rear sprocket.... and got a few mosquito bites to boot.... Really wish I had a garage at times.

Here also! Had a garage growing up then went about 10 years w/o a garage. Have had 3 car now since moved into our house about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Could NOT go without it now!!

Here's a Lil guy we found under the sandbox. The only snakes I find on our property are garter snakes. Wish I could find a milk or black snake. They make decent pet snakes if they're young. I like snakes, my wife dislikes them slightly. By slightly I mean she'd sooner die then touch one. LOL!

Mine too, that's why when I saw this, I put it on her facebook page >: ) She freaked out last week when a snake was right outside her classroom door, she wouldn't leave until it was gone.

told my wife, go look at the shed, we have space again.... she of course declined to go anywhere near the shed....

yeah, she doesn't do well with snakes, spiders or mice.... and we live in the middle of nowhere! She actually called me one night from the driveway to scare off an opossum that was under the porch... wouldn't get out of her car until I had the thing off in the woods

I don't blame your wives....Spiders and snakes are the worst!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saw a tiny spider on my fiances jacket last night and I had to make him kill it even though he couldn't see where it was on him, then when we got home from our evening ride, there was a GIANT black spider on our bedroom wall. Of course I had to make him kill it. And he was saying "yeah, gotta be careful with these ones, they jump at you." So I didn't go in the bedroom until he killed it and even afterwards I didn't wanna go lay down in bed.

well. I know all snakes can bite, but the black ones are usually safe... we do have copperheads and garter snakes here too... don't take a chance trying to figure out which is which, just stay aeay from them or shovel them if they won't leave.
About a year or so after I moved here, was mowing the lawn.... had a 6-8ft long black snake sliver past me.... I just went in the house until he left....
Still get spooked... and I really dont care for spiders or snakes.. but they dont freak me out like they do my wife... we get big brown wolf spiders here tooo... yuck... and they're agressive suckers

Lol. . I think i am the same way. . Also not a fan of spiders. I should buy stock in Ortho home defense.

Spiders are made by the devil too. Don, have you seen the wolf spiders in PJs basement? Ugh, I feel like they stare at me in mine. The spiders at my house are worse than the snakes, i hope the snakes just keep hiding. :surrender::surrender::surrender::surrender::thumbdown::scared:

I hate you. That spider is like a small dog. I would run away like my avatar. I dont know whats worse, the climbing snake or the spider the size of my head.
