How would you guys handle if your soon to be wife isn't enjoying her job anymore and wants to start working part time(enough to keep her benefits) and go to school full time. (We were paying for college as she goes with cash) and she currently works full time and goes to school part time towards her nursing degree. She wants to do financial aid to make up the difference. I don't agree with it at all but I'm an @$$ if I say it that way. Also our pay scale at my job just got cut back by about $1500 a month. She currently has a degree as a surgery tech, and works in sterile processing. She makes like $23 bucks an hour. My thought is....continue making good money and complete the degree part time without debt. Her idea would be to work part time enough to keep her benefits and pay her side of the bills but do student loans for her school. I see the benefit of finishing school a little quicker but I just don't see how creating more debt when you don't have to and you make good money why not use it to it's full advantage....I get you don't enjoy your job anymore(shes the lead and doesn't like how catty the department is with all the women being so childish/vindictive to one another) ....but that's part of life, or am I wrong for thinking that?
I don't want to approach this narrow minded when we sit down to discuss it Thursday on my day off, so Id like to get a little bit of input.
