My rear break light doesn't go on when applying the front break. Ok when I do rear. Everything is stock so I didn't screw it up myself. Any thoughts?
Thanks
hmm, if nothing has been touched id check the fuses. Seems odd there could be a frayed wire or something. im sure it runs in the wire bundle under the seat so id check it for breaks or issues.

Could be the connection at the either end too,
try disconnecting the clips, blow into to clear any debris
if there is a build up of crap in there or any corrosion get a cotton tip with methylated spirits to clean to connections (internal)
I had the same issue a few months ago. It was the switch itself. The easiest way to check is to take the connections off the switch and touch them together to see if the light activates. If it does, then you need to replace the switch, which ran me about $26.
Problem solved! I think one of the connections up under the housing at the grip came loose. Un plugged. Re plugged and presto! Working break light. Thanks every one and LAtony let's meet up for a ride in the new year!
