Annual Ride to Work Day - 6/17

Winter? In CA?? WTF? How low does the temp even get??! ~60??
Done.
(I've ridden to work every day except one (it was raining that day) since I got my FZ6R two months ago.)
But now what...?
I don't see a corresponding "Annual Also Ride Home From Work Day" event.
HELP?!?! I don't want to be stuck at work today!!!
I didn't ride to work today and I was kicking myself until I left the office and POURED down like no other!! I am so glad I didn't ride in to work!

couldn't do it.... took all my energy to go in today.... now killing myself on the bike at thr gym.... my legs. my body is mush
in my area is gets below freezing. may only be a month or two but the rest of the winter is below 50 in the mornings (too cold for me)

hey man I never said it was rough... O just said it was too cold for me (and im a little wus when its cold or what you may call fresh
I ride as long as it's above 40.

I'm kicking myself because I didn't ride,,,, because they said it was going to pour and it's 80 and sunny now at quitting time.
As long as no snow, salt, sand on the roads I will ride into the Upper 30's (last year). Though I think 40 is a good temp to use.. That way a little safer from finding some spots where temp is colder and suddenly have to worry more about ice.

JT... if you have lived over 2 years in California, then your body has changed to handle the heat.
For AZ and CA dwellers our bodies change after 2 summers. The blood thins and fats redistribute to protect us from the extreme heat. As a trade off, we can't take cooler temperatures.
I, personally, don't get hot until it is over 110 degrees, but will be freezing at 50.
It has nothing to do with being a "wus" and has more to do with the adaptability of the human body.
AWE Come on Blue-Sun... I know what you are saying is true, but you are taking away one of the fun things to raz JT about!!! LOL
The salt sand and snow really screw it up. I try to wait for a couple weeks after snow too because of all that mess, or a rainfall in between.
Exactly what I do also... I dont want hidden parts beginning to rust, or me to find a poor spot and go down.
I don't want to go down and ruin the bike! I want to be able to sell it next season.
What about those of us with both extremes? Guess we're better at adapting? LOL!
Can hit over 100 in the summer (which is longer every year as of late) and can be in the negative temps in winter. I went to bootcamp in Great Lakes, Illinois in January (negative temps pretty much the entire time) and followed up by a year in Florida for Class A and C schools (hot and humid), followed up with a little over 2 years in Scotland (cool and damp) and then Puerto Rico for 3 years (hot and humid), Florida for 6 months and then in the mountains of West Virginia for 3 years (sent by NSA to Puerto Rico after 9/11 to train people there) and now back to PA. To be completely honest I hate both extremes if humidity is involved. Cold is always colder with more humidity and heat is always more unbearable with humidity. I can take warm to mildly hot if humidity is very low. Cool to cold is bearable unless it's a damp cold.Awe man!!! Sad to hear!

I ride everyday that it's not raining. and I rode today and it was a very nice day to ride.

I rode in to work today, but I do all the time!
