Haha I love that bike too... But here's the thing... It's priced at 30k. I wouldn't be so eager to lean over on that thing either. Unless your pockets are deep any damage incured on it is a pretty price too. I think I would baby it way more than a 16k one. Just my opinion...

Except that the things that make it so much more expensive are all things that are there to increase its performance. So why buy the most technologically advanced high performance bike on the planet if your not going to use it?

It'd be like buying a $9000 down hill mountain bike to ride along the boardwalk at the beach.

Or lets buy a $3000 70" flat screen and watch nothing but VHS tapes on it. Lol.

Now had I only been looking at pictures, I wouldn't have thought twice about it. There's been times I've just cruised out there and not ridden hard at all. Not to mention conditions out there were a little sketchy yesterday. I wasn't riding hard at all. This was me about 20 minutes before the other group rolled through. I normally have my knee on the ground in that turn. But the road wasn't in the best shape so I wasn't pushing in the slightest bit. But seeing the 3" wide chicken strips on a worn out tire tells me the conditions weren't the factor.

It also makes me question the riding ability and how well can he handle a bike with nearly 200hp. :don'tknow: Who knows. Maybe the guy is a great rider and like you say, he's just scared to do anything with it because it cost so much. There again, why spend twice as much money if you're going to be too afraid to use the thing.

Maybe he does his performance riding on a track? Maybe the bike is in its break in period? Maybe its a friends bike? Who knows, to each his own.

My dad snapped a pic of me after we got home from a short 15 mile or so ride to a family dinner. on the interstate lol and it was in the low 20s (Fahrenheit) lol.

good on him I say, If I could, I damn well would! maybe an 1199R though!

I would putt around on the thing with a big hard on and upon looking at you with your knee on the ground thinking "boy racer wannabe" lol.
Keep my traction on wet, and comfortably cruise off into the distance, and barring up all the way home listening to it idle.

Yeah, i pretty much hold 5-6000 rpm and let the clutch go slowly until the rear feels loose. Then just let the clutch go

I assumed that how you do it but ive seen to many vids where the bike just flys out from under the guys and im not trying to make my bike fly lol
