Hello Everyone!

My name is Rob. I am from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I joined the forum a few days ago. This site is awesome! Lots of helpful people sharing great information. Thank you!

I am relatively new to riding, but have ridden 125/250CC bikes in the past. The FZ6R is the first bike I have owned and I love it. Easy to ride and quite forgiving of new rider mistakes. I own a 2010 blue version. At this time, it is completely stock, but I did remove the fairing decals. Major modifications will wait until next season.

If you are in or around Edmonton, and would like to go for a cruise one day, send me a message.

Again, thank you everyone for sharing your knowledge and experiences. It definitely helps new riders.

Happy riding. Stay safe.

Rob

Welcome Rob - enjoy the ride! I have the feeling that a ride around Alberta would be amazing, but it's a bit of a haul from Central Virginia... :)

Hello! Finally getting to say whats up!!

Hey Everyone!

Name is John. I live on Long Island, NY.

Super cool i found this site, it helps me like every day whenever i have questions that noone else can answer about my bike!

I used to drive a 2002 ninja 500r (2007)and just recently bought my brand new 2012 fz6r (May of this year)from the dealer! Was super stoked about getting it and cant wait to get the mods going, just waiting for that money to pile up so i can get them all done all together.
I plan on doing the exhaust mod(which is shown on this site) fender eliminator, motodynamics rear led light, flush front turn signals, and new zx6r mirrors. I hope to tackle vinyl wrapping the bike as well, i have some experience there but we'll see:rolleyes: and my most anticipated mod would def be the projector head lamp mod(seen on the site as well) crossing my fingers for everthing to go good with that mod! lol

Anways thanks for listening, i hope to continue seeing great modded bikes on this site, as well as my bone stock one AS OF NOW..

I appreciate all the help i get from all the members, and look forward to being an active member here!

Ride careful, live fast!

Good Morning All :)

Im Kayla from Confluence, PA. I found this forum while searching the web and figured what the hey :) I bought my first motorcycle about 2 months ago, which is a black n red '12 FZ6R...I could not believe how fast it felt like it was made for me (like 2 1/2 minutes tops).

I was in the USAF for 6 years and wanted to ride but they had so many restrictions and safety courses it made my head spin. I was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Mostly Diesel), graduated HS as a certified nursing assistant, work a golf course last year, made snow this past winter, and now work Night Security at a resort. I know a little about a lot and love to try n help out with mechanical issues.

I'm also a Focus Fanatic, IDK how everyone feels about cars, but I love em :D Reallyu loving this bike thing and it may just win :D

Welcome to the site and thank you! for your service. I am a Focus Fanatic as well - I'm Pinarello Rider over there as well. Got a 2012 5-door 5sp. LOVE IT. More than my Audi and/or my BMW. Not as much as my old Evo - never should have sold that...

Confused by your post. Are you asking for pics of my car?

in regards to the 5sp vs. the wife: woman can through you for a loop sometimes, even when you think you understand the one you're married to. Prior to buying her Mazda 3, I had an A4 5-speed, and the Evo was obviously a 5-speed. Mrs. PR understood the whole clutch/shifter thing, but the Evo was pretty hard to drive if you didn't have a lot of practice. After driving the A4 for a few years, I got to be pretty good on it, and did okay with the Evo. Mrs PR got fairly comfortable with it, and was able to enjoy it to a point. But it was hard for her.

We went to testdrive said Mazda 3, but they didn't have any ATX on site, so we test drove the manual. Mrs PR had an epiphany - it was SOOOO much easier than the Evo, so waaaaay more enjoyable.

We signed the papers on 5speed Mazda3 that afternoon. Mrs PR loves her stick and I doubt she'll go back.

True story!

Hello to SoCal riders!

Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi. I was a longtime rider of the SV650 and managed to put on 25k miles on that bike before I sold it. Had a few dry years where I thought I'd never be on a bike again until sitting in LA traffic again made dream of flying between the lanes. Searched CL that week and found a 2007 with 40k miles on in sitting in San Diego for $2500. I was initially thinking of going back to the v-twins but I figured why not try a different bike? After some heavy thought, bought a train ticket down and rode the bike back up the following weekend.

Even at 40k miles, she runs great. Its very comfortable on the freeway, much more so that my previous SV. I think I do miss the low end torque of the vtwin and definitely a little lack of pop at stop lights. Also, I was super concerned about the engine temp after it crawling to 215 at a stop light and my crotch lighting on fire, but I hear thats expected. All in all, glad to be back on a bike and riding again! Hope to see some around. Interestingly haven't seen many FZ6rs around Socal, but I've got my eye out now. Cheers.
