Finished installing FZ1 Handlebars and took the bike out for a test ride (also first ride of the year) Feels great so far! cant wait to hit some decent twisties soon.

Any pics? I'd be curious to see the difference from stock.
I made a round trip to Indianapolis, but I tried JonK's wax trick (Pledge).I just waxed my tank so my tank bag wasn't against dirt/dust, then cleaned my helmet.
I noticed that my visor wasn't fogging as bad as usual.It isn't exactly fog proof, but it definitely helped and only takes a few seconds to apply a fresh coat daily.

Yeah, definitely gonna try the pledge. I've always used spray on wax that wipes right off, but the pledge idea seems more logical and cheaper. I always liked the spray wax even on my vehicles because it removed water spots so no need to chamois dry. I read about the pledge somewhere else (maybe an old thread) and completely forgot about it until Jon mentioned it again. Guess that's why he's a Super Mod :thumbup:

Got my Shinko 009 Raven in for the Bandit. New chain will be here Thurs. Pro Caliber will swap tire for $20 and if I bring the bike in with the clip link on the chain (have a rivet link too), he said he wouldnt charge me anything to rivet the rivet link on. Very cool. 
finaly getting my PC5 today. sweet! after this I should be set for a good while.

Nope. Heard great things about them here and everywhere else as well. A "hidden gem" of a tire. A lot of bandit guys like them. I will update with my findings. I have a Pilot Power on the front that is in good shape, so just doing the rear right now.
Oh, and one of my engine guards is busted at the bottom mount, so Tatty is going to hook me up and weld it for me Sunday.

I have had a rear 009 on since Dec, about 1500-2000 winter miles.Love it
No flattening yett, in fact it would pass as new if I sprayed it with tire shine or something stupid.You feel the bumps more, but its in a feedback kind of way instead of comfort wich is good.
I instantly doubled my confidence in the rain (on the highway) but I haven't been testing the cornering grip in the rain.
My biggest complaint is that mud packs into the rain sipes bad (I go through 5' of grass to get onto my driveway).I mean mud packs in bad enough that clumps fling off once your on the street.But in trade I noticed better performance on road salt and sand.
I haven't been able to really warm it up yett.But In 50* weather it warmed up enough to compress the rubber when you pinch it, so I have faith that it will perform fine in the twisties when the seasons change.

Took my baby out for about a 20 mile ride around town and such. It was a such a beautiful day. Tomorrow we will have another beautiful day, but I have a mountain of homework. Love the difference with the PCV/Marthy Viper/Block offs. I'm running the adv gear rev b map and the power is right there when I roll on the throttle. Definitely more responsive and accelerates much better, especially in the sport gears (1-3). Love the map and the sound of the Viper. Definitely not too loud with the DBK. I may take it out and see how it sounds. The Viper has a nice reverb when engine braking, but didn't notice a single backfire pop. Got to try out my new helmet (Bilt - yes a Bilt) and gloves (Joe Rocket). I actually loved the helmet. I got it in all white for summer and put a smoked visor on it. Didn't wear my new Xelement armored racing jacket (not a bad jacket), also didn't wear the Bilt racing boots I got. Yeah not the most expensive gear out there,but they all fit well and do the job and look good as well. Need to adjust my shorty brake lever a little more. Thought I had it fixed where it snapped back properly, but noticed it sticks a little still. I had filed some off the raised area where the screw goes through and it helped. Think I need to shave a little more. Didn't want to grind too much off and make it too loose. The factory lever definitely had a little more play. Getting it inspected this week so I don't wanna get flagged for it even though the brakes work fine. I did like the new red shorty levers. They are awesome looking, easy to adjust and work perfectly (after adjustment). Had a great day!!!

Found the original levers thread on here with link to the FZ6 thread on levers that explained the problem. Some of the levers had to grind the lip down completely in order to move freely. Not everyone had this problem, just some like me.

Rode her 700 miles from FL to TN and froze my arse off the last 4hrs!!
Tomorrow = Oil Change and clean/lube chain.

Nice!!! Except the freezing your balls off part. Man was it f'n nice today though. Can't wait till the temps come to stay up here. Still got a few more days like this.

Was on the bike 4-5 hours today. Took the wife out for a while, dropped her off then headed out myself. Great day, Layered up in full gear including pants & really let her stretch her legs a bit.
