What did you do to your bike today?

Trust me... I will! But it won't be until later on this year, unless I just go into total breakdown...lol

Although not today but I wanted to share my plans for the Road Star.
First come Monday I'll be upgrading the factory carb with a mikuni HSR45 performance carb and fabbing support brackets for it and my big air kit. I'm waiting on stainless steel cables a friend was polite enough to mail to me particularly for this set up. Also up for future modifying is a nice touring trunk that I have but waiting for a custom mount I utilize my sissy bar location. And lastly is installing/modifying a Harley touring bar to install my Harley lower fairings. The fairings and side covers below my seat will be wrapped in carbon fiber lay over. I may end up doing the same with my hard bags. I'll open a thread later to show the processes. It'll be SWEET! Perhaps next year I can get a front fairing with stereo to set it off.

Oh, nothing much to report here. Just a set of FRICKIN' MICHELIN PILOT ROAD 3's installed!

Before someone busts my balls with "pics or it didn't happen" cut me some slack! It was nearly dark when I got home, and it's just a set of tires. Sheesh!
Just a set of tires? Did I say that? Hell, no! They were at the top of my list when all I could afford were the Shinkos (Good tires, those. See this post: http://www.600cc.org/forum/f67/need-new-tires-27029/index5.html#post384615).
Never in my life have I been excited about tires. It was always something you simply had to spend money on, like any other bill. I am seriously stoked about these. I can't wait to get up to Rockingham and practice for the Dragon! WhooHoo!

Sounds like you making a ton of progress. when can we see pics?
Sweet im close to needing tires but hopefully it will be a few months so I can recover from my recent spending.

Yesterday did my first mod (except sticker removal of course!) Installed TRex frame sliders, looks great went on easy, hope to never test them! Today ride thru the canyons and down the coast, its 80 degrees! Sorry all you midwest/east coasters freezing. Next up tail tidy. Oh got a new Shoei, very comfy, my AGV gave me a head ache after and hour, Shoei is sweet!!
Yesterday I put on my Marthy Viper exhaust, today I readjusted the header bolts (had an exhaust leak), put my shorty red levers on, hooked up my battery tender jr, Driven block off plates, and Power Commander V. Busy day for my bike, but not my homework so much. LOL!
No leaks and purrs like a kitten. Well growls like a mountain lion. LOL! Woohoo!

Well I'm almost done with my 6R.
Finished installing my gear indicator and my taillight, also adjusted the handlebars. And with the Marthy's maps the bike runs like a jewel. Now just waiting for a better weather so i can ride. Fort Knox, Kentucky still super cold.

JT, you sound like a boss trying to motivate the employees. LMFAO!!!!!! Just messin with ya. So what's up with your next mod/mods? Anything planned? I'm done for a while now, except little inexpensive things. No more big mods for a while.
All done and back together again. Yes she's dirty, will wash in about a week or so when we at least get 50's. PCV installed, Driven block offs, Marthy Viper Exhaust, red shorty levers, and battery tender Jr (hence the cord hanging near my bike).

Haha true. I just reading threads and a member is going over a boat load of mods it just makes me salivate. Well once my PC5 gets here Monday or Tuesday ill be done for a while (I keep telling myself that at least.
The near future mods will be HID from fzwhite and the tire hugger. I would like the seat cowel but just don't think it's worth the price unless I get a sweet deal on a used one. After this season and a few more miles on my bike I will get a black sprocket and red chain. That should for my to do list.
If you never took your bike apart it is somewhat time consuming. I thought everything that I installed went pretty quick. It was the dis-assembly and re-assembly that consumed time. I also didn't disconnect the overflow and evap tubes that are under the tank. They are easy enough to route back down where they go. That is if you are completely taking off the tank and doing the block offs as well. Now that I did it once I feel like I could do it again pretty quickly.

Yes I know what you mean. I've taken it apart like 3 times now. Block of plates are done. Once the pc5 shows up all I need to do is remove both seats plug the damn thing in load the maps done!

That's cool, should be a breeze then. Hooking up the PCV and loading the map was a breeze. Now my bike is close to what it should have been like stock. LOL! Wouldn't have been much fun though. Learn alot by doing all these mods. Learned that my 8 year son Cody's small hand are good for reaching in the engine and pulling out my Fu&*in allen wrench. I wasted a lot of time trying and finally called him over to help me.

I've had my 9 and 5 year old sons helping me with all of the mods. Today we pulled the tank to take in for decal removal and painting. All that we have left is to install a charger/adapter, put the tank back on when it's finished at the bodyshop, add decals, clean, and wax. I can't wait! I'll post pics when finished.
