Jon, which grips are they? Wish it was 70 here! I've held off changing, because I keep wanting to put on clip-ons. Need to put my shorties on too.

ProGrip 725. 725 They're a bit smaller diameter than the ones I've bene using for nearly 3 years. Those were the ProGrip 719 725 I really liked these grips ALOT but I wanted to give the 725's a try. I like how they have the different material on the area where your ring and pinky finger wrap around. Might give a little more control over the grip when you're rev matching on the down shifts while 2 finger braking. We'll see tomorrow.

I got them for $160 for the set. I think they're worth it. The quality and feel is great. But it was a lot of money for levers. Being bummed that it was one of your best friends last day with you at work, huge amount of stress at said job, half a bottle of Jack Daniels, and an Ebay app on an iPad can be a dangerous thing.

Lol. There's a group of four of us at work who all got pretty close in the last 6 months and unfortunately we all had to rebid for jobs and all of us were displaced to different locations. One guy who's now a riding buddy too left after the first of the year, and Julie left last Friday. Just Jenn and I left and we're leaving in 2 months. Bums me out because its the first place I've worked where I actually have friends who I enjoy being with outside of work, and 6 months later we all get split up.

Just did a little ride around. Got new gloves from Cycle Gear... suck part is braking them in.

On the way back around 3:00 pm I stop by the new DD that just open few weeks ago. There was a ZX10 and a dirt bike park outside. So I park right next to the ZX10 using the same car size parking spot. While I was pulling my helmet off an old man walk out and start looking at my ride. He was telling me he use to have a FZ6 few year ago but never had the FZ6R. I told there's almost the same bike... 20 HP less! So he went on talking about how he regret selling is FZ6... bla bla bla. Until he turn around and says: That my new ride!!! The old man is 80 YO!!! Riding a freaking a ZX10R!!!

I was Oh $$$hit!!! You're the man! I join him inside and meet is riding buddies. One of them is a police officer and the 80 YO bad a$$ man is a retired officer.

Still hanging out at Dunkin Donuts! I'm suppose to join them next Sunday. The officer that was there is actually one of the Guy that give me my riding course 2 years ago... small world!

needs 50% less picture size....

I like what you did there in removing the stars but the font choices kill it for me. I would have gone with a blocked arial type font for the FZ6 like the yamaha on the bottom of the bike and then done some type of script like red R to add a little flavor but the Times new roman style font just doesn't fit the bike IMO.

thanks to you guys, i learned about the intake box mod, got that taken care of today. i noticed a difference in quicker throttle response. i like it. then rewired a FE to make it look cleaner and fix a relay. then rode. wish the weather would ease up a little.

haha thanks, me either. I'm changing them up. I'm actually going to use similar ones on each side of the rear fender, then do something a tad different on the fairing

today I put reflective tape on my rims. I had a hard time with the back and it came out a bit messy, but the front worked out well. I had a bit left over and put it around my frame sliders and bar ends. just wanted to improve my visibility at night as I'm doing a lot of after dark commuting these days.

Humm... she as been running a little hot lately. Fan is working fine. It's not that warm yet and riding temp are in the 190's even hit 198F this morning going 55-60. I changed the coolant last year and made sure it was top off yesterday.

You really don't need me to say it, so I'm guessing you're looking for a second opinion on your own thoughts: If ambient temp is cool, all fluids are at correct levels and not old? The fan is working when it should and the bike is still running hotter than it should? You got a pump that's out, or a blockage.

I know old Hondas. Not so much the Yammy. Given what I know, I'd be thinking oil pump or a blockage in the filter.

I am unused to having a radiator on a bike. Assuming your antifreeze is good and the ambient temp is agreeable? I'm still going to say oil. Motorcycles ran for decades without radiators. If the coolant is frozen, that would obviously impact engine temp, but I just don't see that happening on your ride.

I'm going with some sort of blockage with the oil. Just my 2c. Hope it helped you see things from another angle.
