I bough a spare airbox to compare and validate the airbox mod... You should buy 2 new shorty. I'm sure you can buy them separately.

Where and how much? Just curious... and maybe few member would like to know?

They're easy to change. Once the airbox is out the stack goes out from the bottom. Mean the trumpet side goes out last and in first.

There's a bike salvage yard here that I got mine from. They sold me the short stacks for $20. Pretty reasonable. I didn't look into a new one because I think you have to buy them with the airbox which is going to jack the price way up. I've seen a few airboxes on ebay for like $20 if anyone wants to try there.
 
I also want to apologize to Perdurable for Highjacking the thread. We didn't mean it, it just happen...

I want to add that the shorty work well the way my bike is set up. It need to be confirm on a more "stock" 6R. Don't all jump on the boat yet... LOL
 
So what might having them even shorter do?

np man stacks are stacks!!!
its all good info in the end!!!
i will probly buy the shortys but in all honestly i would have rather coughed up 200 bucks for a slick set of tuned vstacks for our bike =/

one day perdurable.... One day.... funds are ow so I can not take that project too far right now.
 
Per is on the right track, enlarging the stacks diameter helps the most, 2 shorter do nothing for more/freer air movement.
And because of the airbox design you could lose power (2 shorter). My $.02

Ty man exactly what I'm getting at also what they're going to do is make the stacks bigger and wider and with a smoother tube they'll tune it for the bike and will run a flow test on our bike they will make the stack the right size so that it gives the most horsepower gain at a random rpm the random rpm would be the rpm where the stacks actually give more power than any other rpm range a k a tuned for our bike
