Marthy it is obvious that you should have input in this....Sure! If I can help that's cool...
If I get a set to "test" I could always do a back to back on the Dyno on my cycle. Including Butt Dyno run! Keep in mind that I have the FZ6 cams and that might throw off the result a bit. But the gain should be similar regardless. I gotta build 2 more exhaust tonight but I will look at it tomorrow. I need:Marthy it is obvious that you should have input in this....
You are going to help!!! and you are going to like it! ... j/k
Please....... help. lmfao
anyhow back to topic. marthy do you have any means of testing???
That’s awesome because I don’t have the knowledge, resources, tools, money to do testing... on top of design and build. If I get a set to "test" I could always do a back to back on the Dyno on my cycle. Total runner length from valve opening to throttle, to end of stacks. min and max. I'll try to get the measurement tonight... if I can. Need to ship tomorrow!
I apreciate you help on this a ton... let me know what your thinking...What about I have a spare box sitting in the garage... I'll measure and do the math. Maybe all we need to do is 2 short one? there's already shorter one in there... ahhh ahhh!
Marthy sounds like your all over it.... thanks for the effort on this mod...Here's few pics of my airbox mod, before and after. Then what it looks like with all short velocity stacks. I also include a pic of my balls... allen socket. Ideal tool to remove the airbox. You can easily make one by cutting a regular ball allen key and stuff it in a 4mm or 5/32 socket. (you know those socket you never use and always wonder why they sell those...lol)
Hope it help and answer few of your question.

No, but just make things a bit easier.does it have to be a ball allen wrench? Im looking at taking mine off this weekend so good idea on using the socket.
Appreciate it bud, those clamps were driving my nuts before. No, but just make things a bit easier.
So did you leave your airbox with the 4 short stacks? After a few good ride from and to work I can say it's a keeper! How much the gain was is hard to tell. But it made things a bit smoother with the air box mod + FZ6 cams. I don't feel like I lost on the bottom end but did made the mid range a bit better.
The map is ok with the change.
YES! (10 characters)So did you leave your airbox with the 4 short stacks?
