What did you do to your bike today?

So after my ride yesterday, I took the bike over to my dad's house to fabricate up some support brackets to bolt on where the grab bar is. These are to help support my saddle bags when we leave for our trip to Vegas/Zion in a couple of weeks. They're just generic Fieldsheer soft bags that throw over the pillion seat. Problem has always been that to get them tight enough to not slide forward on me, the strap that wraps around the FE bracket has to be so tight that the back of the bags pinch and the plate and turn signals are completely blocked from view. These should keep them spread out but still let them get good and tight. I'll post up a pic of them when I get them all painted. Probably going to Plastidip them actually.
 
What jacket? Im curious in one or a heated liner. Hoping to find one that would easily attach to the battery tender quick connect already hooked to the battery.

washed, waxed, cleaned and lubed the chain. Took the wife for a ride to get lunch.

Also took the wife by the dealer yesterday. Looks like we're buying her a GSXR 600. Now, I have to wait until they get in some 1000's so I can upgrade. :)

Wanted to ride to work today. Got everything ready. Bike was warming up at the end of my driveway awaiting my ***. I put my helmet on and strap in. Sit on my mechanical steed and go to slap my visor down. Just then something happened. Something terrible. The base plate broke in to about 5 pieces sending my visor whipping to the other side. I'm sitting there, thinking, WTF $#%^#$^&!#%$#@%^&%^&#@$^!#$!!!!!! I pull my bike back in to the garage and in a completely p.o.'d manner get dressed to drive to work.

In other news,
Today I bought heated jacket liner and glove liners. I was really looking forward to using them next week on my way to work.... Except I wanted a dual controller, and they didn't have one in stock... So now I have to wait for one to come in...
 
-Swapped HID bulbs out for some better quality ones, what a difference.
-Changed levers.
-Installed a Speedo Healer.
-Installed taillight modulator.

Next up spark plugs.
 
Clean up the old girl and installed the lowering link back on (so wify can ride... ) and about to get the 6R dirty again. Beautiful out there right now... Happy Sunday

Took the tires off so I wouldn't be tempted to ride it until the new ones arrive. Looking at the front one yesterday made me jump into action. Got a set of Metzler Sportec M5's on order.

Sorted out the garage to make room for the 3 x bikes and 2 x cars for the winter :(
