New member from NJ

Hey how's it going my name is Ryan I'm from south jersey. Joined the forum because I recently started riding on street a couple months ago. I started on a ninja 250 but road dirtbikes for most of my life. I bought a beater 2009 ninja 250 with no fairings, I fixed it up rode it for a few months then sold it as it wasnt really enough for me, and looked into a new bike. I checked this website out after looking at a new fz6r and decided it was going to be my second bike. Just got it earlier in the week from my local dealer, 2012. I'm a sucker for aftermarket stuff so i already ordered flush mounts, integrated turnsignal tail, tbr full exhaust and some other misc stuff. Will def be on here checking out all different mods for this bike!

Welcome on man, did you have that 250r that had all the stickers and stuff that was on CL? I was looking for it for my wife and couldn't find it and figured it sold Lol.

Congrats on the new bike. Don't worry about the size of the pic, that is actually good, nice size that everyone can see, but not so huge that it needs to be panned. I am sure that you will find many mod options here, there have been quite a few great ideas. Searching through some of the old mod threads would be the best way to get good ideas. Couldnt leave the bike alone so after few days already decent chunk done, Monday night took bike fully apart front fairing wise and put in hid kit, flushmount turn signals, integrated tail, fender eliminator and new flasher relay. Yesterday I got my exhaust at my work and installed it on my lunch. I'm going with a white red black theme so thinking of painting the vents chain guard n another piece or 1 red!

Im trying to get money together for pcv and possibly lowering link 5'6 and short legs lol, feel little iffy sometimes on my toes used to a very light bike

as mentiond you should definitaly get frame sliders asap.

Also recooment that you lower the front end before you purchase and install a lowering link. its a free mod

it is not a 1 to 1 ratio so if you drop the front end an inch it will not drop hte seat hight by and inch but will make a dif. others shorter than you did the front end drop and thought that was good enough.

also look a riding boots with a bit of a heel. my boots are +1" heel.

Nismo and I are both lowered and very happy with the outcome. We should all do a nj meet before it gets too cold.

Doing just the front helps a little, but not enough. Doing the lowering link is a very good idea.

I have the front down 1" but I think I want to increase it. I had it at around 2" for a little bit, but prefer the 1-1.5" ride.
