My Custom Designed Projector Retrofit

Alright ladies and gentleman, after a long time and lots of nights spent with FZWhite, my custom concept retrofit I sent him has come to life. I received it yesterday and I will be installing it tonight, be ready for pics!

A big thanks to FZWhite(Chad) and all of his hard work and patience dealing with my perfectionist ways. If any of you are on the fence about getting your light retrofitted with an hid projector, I hope this post (when completed) will sway you in the right direction. Chad is a great guy and talented craftsman, use his services provided by AHR (Affordable HID Retrofitting) and avoid all the worries of it not being done correctly!

That is badass! Wouldve loved to done something more complicated to mine like this but it was my first so i kept it simple. That looks really really good though. Awesome! Bet youll be the only kid on the block with a headlight like that lol!

that's sick, spawn. so chad, was my retrofit just a practice run??? you saved the real thing for spawn, didn't you. haha. :justkidding: forum members, take note. FZ keeps making them better and better, which means yours will top Spawn's. all ya gotta do is scrounge up those funds and send that man your light! quick, before riding season is in full swing!

Thanks guys. Lots of hard work and concepts went into this. Rob, yours wasn't practice, my own bikes were that, but yours definitely got me into the realm of putting a big shroud in a small headlight.

Not for long. The FZ8 that I just finished is back getting the exact same setup and it is being hinted others are interested in the same thing. Lucas has created a monster with this fancy headlight. I welcome anyone who would like to do it, as I have gotten the hang of how to mod the headlight. Not for the weak at heart.....

I also considered doing my own but why do a Micky mouse janky as$ job and even potentially break and not deal my headlight up right then fogy inside then I'd have to figure out all this electrical BS. WHY. If we have FZ.

Without the special paint, but still two colors, it would be right around $400, without the group buy discount.

thank you for all the kind words guys, I was up until 6 a.m. this morning putting everything back together. I have a wedding to go to early this afternoon, but will be back at it once I am done to clean up all the greasy Italian hand marks and take the final pics for you.

Oh, and Rob...don't feel bad man....if anything feel bad for Chad and all the "attention to detail" I bugged him about in my design. The man made it happen. He is a headlight wizard!
