Well, this adventure might be over. The color photographs really well, but in reality the bike looks SUPER florescent, like a construction worker's vest. Even as the sun starts to go down, the bike seems really bright. I'm torn. I don't feel like taking all the time and effort to finish painting everything if ultimately I know I'm going to end up peeling it off somewhere between tonight and probably 2 weeks from now.

But like I said, the color looks KILLER in pictures. Wish it really looked like this.

It started raining, but I got my bike 99% back together. Really just needs turn signals and a windshield. This whole dipping experience has been, well, an experience. I've had issues with paint, the spray gun, neighbors, heat, moisture..... you name it. Some of the edges are kinda rough and coverage isn't perfect, but I'm a perfectionist. I'll probably leave it a month or two and peel it. Anyway, here ya go!






But now what do I do about windshields? Clear ebay, OEM painted black, or paint the ebay one black? Hmmmmm.......

In person it's a bit florescent but fades down soon... HOWEVER, Fonzie from dipyourcar.com just mixed up Sunshine Orange or something like that.... a lot closer to the color I was hoping to have.

Show your wife that sunshine orange and it's game over man

Correct. Probably try to dremel the diamond area a little closer first. I was considering chopping the factory shield a little, but that eBay one actually does a much better job on the highway

I bet it does. and im sure you can clean up the symmetry a bit

Looks really good and unique..but that sunshine orange sounds promising and prolly be better.
As for the windscreen, the ebay clear one looks better for wind deflection, but I would try some RC car window tint.. Spray 5-6 coats on inside of windscreen should give it that nice dark smoke look.

Drying in the garage, chopping the diamond area and reinstalling tomorrow. 100% finished pics should be up by tomorrow night, probably along with a walk around on my youtube channel.

I was going to take a ride, do a motovlog, and then record a walk around, but as soon as I got my gear on the sky opened up and start pouring heavy. It's been raining off and on A LOT lately and we're calling for another few days of rain. I'll get the vids out.

So I stayed in the garage and now my bike is back together! The orange is really growing on me, I like it a lot. I put my flushies back on and my freshly dipped ebay windshield which I dremeled so nicely.... and tightened a bolt too much... so I'm also paypal'ing Pvee for his double bubble....

It looks so great!!!! I'm soooo jealous... My favorite color is orange, and I was pretty happy when I found the copper 2011 fz6r, but THIS, this is on a whole new level of orange! Great Job!
