Well, I think it's fair to say I got screw over. One exhaust never made it back and no email response. It's been over 2 months since the exhaust was sent with quick service as always. So I guess from now on I will ask for a deposit on the headers if we do it as a trade in instead of shipping your own headers.

Kind of a pain but I'm making very minimal profit to keep the price down and I can afford to loose $$$. Now to do it right I need to spend $100-150 to get a new header core.

I think anyone who has any idea who you are is pissed off for you. You do us a great service, you're a stand up guy, and like you said, you're making almost no profit off these exhausts.

Agree with mistaht. If he screwed you if the headers he may do it again with somebody from the forum that is selling a part or a service.

It's fair to let everybody know who is the crook.

You gave him reasonable time to respond and he ignored you. BAD BUSINESS. :spank:

Sorry to hear it Martin. This sucks for many reasons. My wife probably won't buy me a system now with an increased price even if some eventually gets refunded. That guy was a real douche to f#ck you over.

The exhaust kit won't be more expensive. If you ship me your stock exhaust to be modded it will cost you the same out of pocket. The difference will be if someone doesn't want to park his bike for 1-2 weeks depending of shipping time. I will ask for a $100.00 deposit fully reimbursable once I get the stock exhaust back.

I'll give him a chance to come up clean for another week or so. If not, I'll throw him under the bus! :spank:

Okay good to hear. My bike is pretty much parked now anyways. You already gave him 2 months. Maybe somebody that lives near him can talk him into sending it back.

to be honest, i was quite surprised when you didn't require a core fee back when I bought my kit from you. My motto over the internet is trust no one because as soon as you let your guard up someone takes advantage of you, i have learned many lessons over the years on car, truck and motorcycle forums. especially with offering a service like this for a bike that doesn't have parts all over the internet which makes parts a little more expensive.

Well, I received the headers late this afternoon. Well, I hope it's the right one...lol Just strange that he never reply to my last PM or email.

It's all fixed now. I just had to be a little more patient... But still keeping the deposit thing on. That will make the exhaust get back much quicker... Quite easy to issue a refund on PayPal anyway.

Good to hear that you got it resolved. Can't say I blame you for taking a deposit. I think I'll just take mine off and wait. At least I'll know when it gets here I don't have to get the old one off.

Shipping from FL to CA is about 4-5 days max. So putting $100.00 on a CC for few days until I send back the money should not be a deal braker. Once I get the headers the money will be sent back right away. If someone for any reason don't want to or can't afford it, they can send me there exhaust and wait... but I can't afford to wait for weeks until I get my headers back. It is very unfortunate but I don't have any choice.

Oh, I fully understand. You are doing our forum members a great service. If my wife doesn't care I'll send the deposit so I can get my system faster. If not then I just get mine off and send it to you asap. Either way not a big deal since I can't ride right now anyway.

Got my Marthy Viper exhaust ordered today. Will be a few weeks before I get it and I can't wait. Gonna get some of my other bike installs done in the meantime (shorty levers, PCV, Driven block offs, battery tender jr). I'll update once I get it and have it installed

Thanks Martin for once again going above and beyond to make another exhaust. You are da man! I don't think people realize how much work you put into it and it's not even your full time job. Thank you!

I got all 4 headers done last night. 3 ship today! Kind of nice to have all the parts cut and ready to go... make things a little easier to build.

So maybe some of you know but since Mr. Dart got his exhaust that needed to be fit with a center stand, the design has change. To make it work with the center stand the headers needed to be as short as possible... event then I had to cut 2" off the Viper can. In the process I did really like the way it fitted with the stock Viper can... so I decided to keep it that way.

Since my own headers never fitted right. (diameter where the can attach was a snug too small...) I fitted one of the new generation of headers last night, much better! I'll remod my stock exhaust and use this one until it's done. Planning on getting a center stand so I have to change for the new design...

Yep Scott, shipping today! Viper can should be here around lunch time.
