Well, I got it all done today. Took me roughly 4 hours for everything from start to finish.
I called power commander and they took over my computer and Downloaded new firmware and maps to my unit. I actually installed the PCV first.
I went ahead and removed both right and left side fairings to give me more room for the exhaust install. The 9 Inch adapter made the difference. The only part I got hung up on was getting the pipe up into the bracket. Took me a while on that part.
It's sounds AMAZING! It feels like a completely different bike and I was so excited to drive it around I didn't take out the silencer tip. It's so loud I don't even know if i'd want to but will probably experiment and try it. Between all the work I've done to it this week including the FE kit it seems like the bike went from sport touring to straight sport bike. Without that big BOX(stock exhaust) it's changed the entire shape of the bike.
I put roughly 100 miles on it tonight for my test drive and will probably do a quality control check in the next day or so to make sure all bolts are still tight.
In the past, nobody really turned or looked when I reved it but today? Heads were turning
The deep, loud note it produces is incredible and no YOUTUBE video gives it justice as it sounds so much better in real life.
I can assure anybody that if I can install this stuff, so can you. I won't call it easy but will call it fairly simple.
