How long have you owned your FZ6R

Got mine brand new start of riding season 2012, so I'm into season 3. Due to a short commute and one winter I took off, I've just rolled over 6,000 miles NOTHING compared to what most of you log, I know, but loving almost every mile!

Hey Guys- this is my third year. Im totally addicted to it! Did a ton of
mods- pc, marthy airbox (thanks marthy), custom exhaust, flushmounts, Kuryakyn
grips (the fat ones) custom frame paint (red), tank protector,
Fz8mirrors (I can see!) Double bubble, hid light, k and n filters..im 66 years old and they say im nuts.bet you al would disagree.
checked out the new new fz07 really like it - just one problem-

We got them about the same time. You've got about 13000 mile on me. I did take 6 months off but not commuting any more than about once a month slowed my mileage.

I rode up to a big charity RC race last weekend and parked right at the entrance to the track. When I went to leave there was a crowd around it. One guy told me he had a 2011 that he commuted on for a while but it was bone stock. His eyes about bugged out of his head when I started her up lol. He noticed a lot of the mods I've done . It's really cool to see someone appreciate the work I've done.

BooYah! I still remember that feeling, since it's never totally gone away. I stopped for a meal on the way home, and sat at a window where I could look at her. I just couldn't believe that beautiful machine was mine.

I've had my Tora Tanshi for a couple years now and still, once in a while, I look at her and can't believe that she is mine.

Only now, the feeling is tempered with "It amazes me what she does for me." The feeling of new-ownership is blunted, but just the sight of her evokes strong emotions in me, still.

That says nothing to what I feel when I throw a leg over her, or put her through her paces on a twisty. Each feeling is more strong than the one before.

Then, on the twisties, I get to the point where I'm not feeling anything. No, that's not really true. It's not that I'm not feeling anything, it's just that my pleasure has reached a point that I'm no longer feeling it. It just is.

It's just me and my glorious machine, melded together and working my will and desire. It's organic. It's mechanical. It's perfect.

I watch something like the Isle of Man TT. I'll never in my lifetime be that good. But I know what that Rider is feeling. I think I get just a little bit of it.

And it is good!

'14 FZ6R Yeah, Baby!

Picked up the bike Saturday night, best 4 days of my life(besides the birth of my daughter)! This is my first bike, can't stop riding and enjoying. Taking in for first check and oil change tomorrow.

It'll be 5 years exactly this time next week. August 21 2009. Sometimes it's hard to believe its been that long already. Others it seems like it's been much longer.

Wow, that's a pretty negative post for a bike I love so much. What bike do you ride that outshines all the things the 6R does so beautifully besides accelerate?

The 6R is comfortable, sporty and agile. You can tour with it, commute with it, cut the twisties with it... Heck, I haven't found much it's lacking in other than keeping up with a true-sport whose rider is determined to run way above the posted speed limit, or thinks they are Rossi.

You'r wife likes it? So do I because it's a darn good bike.

Buzzbom... Couldn't agreed with you more. I love... Love the 6R. I bought it April 9th, 2013 brand new.... and she has 22,230 miles now. I have gone everywhere with this bike, from 1600 miles trips; 1000 Iron Butt.. And track days. I ride with a gfriend that ride a 2014 BMW s1000r and I m right there with her on the twities. This bike does everything... Couldn't asked for a better bike

I bought mine in July of 2009 and it is a great bike for my type of riding. I do day rides of 150 miles to visit people and love every mile of it. It's all the bike I'll ever need.
