No pitfalls or issues with this bike. They are bulletproof and will do as many miles as you can. We have a few members that are well into 50k-60k miles already. All years are the same except for graphics.

One note about that white one in your link, the fairing stickers are removable, but the ones on the tank are under clear coat so they cannot be removed without repainting the tank. You can get graphics or knee grip pads to cover them.

I've been riding a little over a month. My first bike is the FZ6R and I LOVE IT! It's super easy to learn on, and is extremely comfortable for a sport bike.

i would recommend buying used unless you absolutely need brand new motorcycle. you can find some great deals out there for used bikes.... you will save some money for all that gear your goina need :)

I also bought the same color bike a little over a week ago. The decals on the fairings were a B to take off, but I got them off. I need to cover up the tank now. And it seems like a great bike, and everyone compliments it.

Cool... got any pics?
Wondering if I can do some sort of carbon fiber wrap material on that part of the tank.

Go for it. I debated between the FZ6R and Ninja 650 for months. The day after I bought the FZ6R I was mad at myself for being indecisive and wondered what took me so long. Was really happy with my decision since. :) I too bought the white with those same graphics and ended up taking them off, except the tank due to being under the clear-coat as mentioned above. I'll cover up the tank within the next day or two, have an order with a local place for it already.

The next few months are the best time of the year to look for a new bike.I bought my 2011 in January of this year, since the 2012's were stacking up.I only paid $5999, $6700 otd.Still well below the msrp.It really isnt anymore than paying for a few cab rides to keep someone off your bike.$5000 w 1500 miles is less than $1.20 a mile compared to what I paid new, and thats extremely low mileage.

It just depends on your needs.If your learning, id buy used.But if you plan on keeping it 5-10 years and have experience.Id buy new just for a peace of mind.Not to mention it comes with a paper plate, and will be hassle free legally.Sales tax is included in the price, as well instead of paying it at the bmv.

Its not like a new bike costs double or anything.The biggest benefit of buying used, is being able to find a modified bike, with all the accessories included.Then a new bike might cost double.

Seems a bit high $$, I just bought a 2012 with 1100 miles, $5,005 - but markets may be different - I love mine so far.

btw i did not mention i have that same graphic on my bike.... i stripped the decals off and am looking into what my dad has on his bike he calls it a tank braw to cover up the ones on the tank.... if i cant find one im going to get them covered up to match the rest of my decals

i dont have a good camera so this is the only picture i have of my bike with the decals on it lol

Mine was new with 0 miles on the odo.$1500 below msrp isnt alot at all
