Help

I got my 6R 2 years ago and it's all payed off now.... my ass still hurt! $9500 OTD. They cream me with all the blower and wisle they had. My bad... I wish I search a bit more and consult great people like on this forum.

Yeah, research is always good, even with cars.

When I started checking for my Street Triple, they were asking 12k OTD. I got mine few weeks ago for 10100 with free accessories . A 2k diference, almost.

They key is, buy without a rush and research!

Looked at the Street Triple before FZ6R, got quote of $9,300 otd on the Street Triple plus extras. Just afraid of Triumphs.

Yer not alone sir. I paid around that much, too.

Oh well, not a mistake I'll make again,.

Is this your 1st bike? Did you take the MSF course? and no offense, but how old are you.

I usually recommend Ninja 250cc or similar as 1st bike. The Yamaha may be a good starter bike as long as you respect the power and take a MSF course. But statistics say most people drop their 1st bike.

If you can afford a repair in case you drop the bike and/or don't care about buy new, go for it. Just remember, bikes are not toys.

I took the MSF course about a month ago. I am 25 years old. I tried the 250 out and since I have travel so far for work that is when the sales guy told me about this and the Ninja 650. I tried looking for something use. but for the last few months all I could find is used 1000 CC supers and a few 600 rockets.

Beginner bike, No... Easier bike to learn how to ride, then a super-sport, yes. The 6R is a lot more forgiving if you make a mistake then a super-sport etc... But don't underestimate this little machine... This thing can handle it's own. Top speed of 130+ mph with a 1/4 mile around 12.2 is respectable... If you have experience with how a clutch/throttle works etc.. Along with a good head on your shoulders the 6R would be a good first bike.

$9300 OTD is too expensive. B4 the Japan earthquake in 2011, u could get a brand new R6 for that price here in LA...

U probably don't need the warranty unless u plan to keep the bike a long time. Most of us upgrade after a few years. So, see how much it is without the YES and then re-evaluate...
