exploring the options

ugh, just get a daytona. you'll never be happier. :D

I would go with the Honda. Have always had awesome reliability with honda off road products and my brother in law has had several ss bikes from 929 to 1000rr. You will be in a better spot money wise. The cbr will be have awesome performance for street and more user friendly than Kawai. more forgiving. My son has 08 ninja 250 for starter bike kawi green. Awesome little machine. Thats what your wife needs to be starting on. Short and light. Test ride the cbr and think about it. Sure you have read reviews on both. Good luck on your new ride.

hondas are the most reliable things on the roads , period. from their cars to there bikes so on and so forth. That being said , I would go with the Ninja but not in blue , got to get that kawi green brother , I cant wait until my wife is done with school , the day she starts her new job Ill be at the kawasaki dealership getting my new bike. .......if you can afford it and its not going to put you in a bind down the road , I would go with option two let the old lady keep your FZ6R that way yall can ride together.......

BTW ----at the rate we are going on this site here pretty soon we are going to have to change the name to "FZ6R and more"......seems everyone is getting something different

Some peeps love that CBR single pipe under the passenger seat, but I just don't like it, looks like an anus (sorry for being gross). Ninja is badass, gixxer is comfortable, and R6 is drool worthy. I do like the CBR1000, though.

Ducati, nah, the reputation for punishing ergos and expensive upkeep are there for a reason, uh prolly cause it's true. These Japanese 600's (including the FZ6R) are some of the most reliable bikes out there, you can run em hard and they actually seem to like it. The same thing cannot be said for liter bikes and European bikes, they are definitely cool, but I would reserve owning one of those for a period in my life where I am only doing 3,000 miles a year instead of 10,000.
