What should be the idling engine temperature after a 30 minute city riding.
I got home last night and was idling at 207F.

Sounds about right. I believe that it is around 212°F that the fan kicks on. The manual states that 104-242 °F is OK. 243-283 °F, the temperature warning light will come on and you should allow it to idle to cool it down. Anything over 284 °F you are supposed to shut down the engine, and allow it to cool. Hope that helps. What should be the idling engine temperature after a 30 minute city riding.

Well, 289° would be too high, and that could be easily forgotten that it is a 2 in front and not a 1.For some strange reason I though 189 was the max temperature.
I got stop smoking the "ganja".
Spread the luv, man.I got stop smoking the "ganja".
Yes, Normal.. Not sure if you have seen my vid's but I ride hard, and my temp gets pretty high.. Like you, my frame and fairing get's pretty hot....The temps seem normal...
However, I've noticed after some hard riding tonight, even though the indicator is only at 207, the oil casing, the frame, even the fairing (particularly the right fairing), is extremely hot...
Is this typical?
You ride hard ? Never! Why would an officer of the law do such a thingYes, Normal.. Not sure if you have seen my vid's but I ride hard, and my temp gets pretty high.. Like you, my frame and fairing get's pretty hot....

At that temp you would definately not be comfortable riding it.Well, 289° would be too high, and that could be easily forgotten that it is a 2 in front and not a 1.
Very much agreed. At that temp you would definately not be comfortable riding it.
