In addition to everything above, consider replacing the actual tensioner while you're in there. If you want to go a step further and save potential trouble later, go ahead and remove the head and replace all of the valve seals. I waited until 55k to do my first valve adjustment, and it disturbed the sealing capability of the factory valve seals to the point where I quickly developed blue smoke on startup. I had to tear it all back down to replace the valve seals and fix that problem. If you do take the plunge on removing the head, be sure to clean it very well with Berryman's or something similar. Your valves will likely be pretty dirty.. I know mine were. Brass brushes are your friend. Don't forget a new head gasket (not included in the spreadsheet above).
