I just purchased a brand new(.2 miles ) 2012 FZ6R this past Saturday. However there was blue crusty residue under part of the bike(see picture) which could be rubbed off with a finger. When I questioned the mechanic he said it was most likely sealant that had leaked out. The crust is along the crack between metal components and goes up behind the aluminum part some distance where I can't get a good look. I took his word because they all seemed trustworthy and helpful at the dealership but I am still curious on what it was. The bike was just built the night before and as I said there was only .2 miles on it. It doesn't seem to have leaked any for the minute or two it has been running since. I haven't ridden it more than that because I had to go back to school. So I don't have an actual picture of the stuff. Do you guys have any opinions on what the blue crust might be.
