What Not To Wear (while riding)

Today I got my riding pants... a subscriber donated them to me. He bought me a pair of brand new Rhok jeans. These things are nice. Before I was wearing regular wal-mart jeans... Now I have pants designed for motorcyclists. They have hip and knee armor. I can't explain it well but here's the link to the Rhok page... great pants. Next to get actual riding boots instead of using leather steel-toe walmart boots! lol But I've been watching some videos that made me cringe so I decided it's not worth it to crash without gear on. ATGATT for me, but if you choose to not wear your gear, I respect that choice. Grown folks can make their own decisions. : )

For boots, no need to spend a lot of money to get good ones.
I have the Harley Davidson Badlands boots (They are basically the [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Bates-Copper-Trail-Motorcycle-Black/dp/B006H1UV6E/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1373581455&sr=8-8&keywords=bates+motorcycle+boots"]BATES Copper boots[/ame] for my size they are rounded up to $78.
When you can afford boots, I would highly recommend these. They look decent enough to wear out at the stores, or to work (pending work requirements). They are not comfortable (atleast to me - hard sole) for long walking stints, but are good enough for a bunch of errands).
They also stood up to my accident very well, you can barely tell anything happened to them. Use leather cleaner/protectant/water proofer on them and they will be good enough for a ride in mild rain. Though the first 2x you might get some black soled socks if you were wearing white!
I love my SIDI Vertigo's but lets face it, its not always reasonable to wear that style riding boot places.
Found a couple of gems on the Motofoto site from the past on different roads.

That Bluetooth or whatever it is on the first helmet almost looks like he is holding an old Walkie-Talkie or a big brick phone to his helmet with his shoulder!
The last one (if he was me) would be thinking, PLEASE DONT TURN ON YOUR PRETTY LIGHTS!!!

That looks like the original Chatterbox unit, that thing was pretty huge. The new one is like a 1/3rd the size of that.
And yeah, I hate it when I have a cop behind me on the bike, I always feel like they are just looking to get me for something. The problem is that lately I have been seeing the cops all over the roads lately just swarming and handing out tickets...
My Chatter box is about the same size. I can't remember the last time I used it. It's mounted to my old Icon helmet. Heavy helmet, heavy box lol
