Well if we dont surf the web then who will?! I mean its a rough job but someone has to do it!!!! i'm willing to take that burden... i wont get to go home for about another month, so i'll be surfin daily between noon and midnight!!! just researchin and figurin out what mods to get on the new bike when i get it!!

Guess I got what was coming to me...one of our WAN sites went down so I worked 15 hours yesterday and about 9 today...ouch

I just think it's a shame that anyone would be expected to do that. I've put in 12 hours (maybe 1-2 times/yr)... but past that, I'm really worthless.

I just flat out refuse to work past my limits... I guess I have that luxury since we don't have mission critical systems (oh, except when email goes down, then the sales guys "can't work")

P.S. Since I'm not full time IT, and my main job is Eng. Support (read: Non-Degree, AF tech school)... I'm not salary... so when I tell my boss I need to go home and think about the problem... he agrees

I was pretty much supervising Comcast, we'd switched all of our gear early in the day.

I'm salary so no OT for me which sucks.

The site that went down is a big money maker for the hospital so it was imperative that it get brought back up ASAP.
