<Rant> Bike sizes

Let em talk... Whats great is that my 600 will smoke any of those monster cc cruisers. They think because they have a bigger "number" they are more of a biker. Those things weigh a TON and are slugs compared to modern inline 4 600 sport bikes.

I rode a Dyna Low Rider that was I think 96 cubic inch which is like 1,600 cc! No way that thing would hang with my bike. A VTX 1800 (sorry honda) is even slower... Sorry, I will stick with my 600.

0-60 on these "real bikes" can barely break out of the 14's... My 600 R6 will do low 11's all day. The FZ6R will do low 12's. The V-Rod is one of the few that can break into the 12's.

Yeah, um... engineered is an interesting way to put it. No German company would hire an engineer who had HD on their resume. They are overpriced POS IMHO. From what I've seen, nearly all Harley riders spend more time and money repairing their bikes than riding them. You pay a premium for a name and a sound. To each his own, I guess.

Yeah, its not necessarily cruisers I have a problem with. I've always liked how the Honda Shadows looked, but Harley's just seem overpriced. My friend that owns a Harley bought his used for $5k with a ton of mileage on it, and a big dent in the gas tank. When he looked it up, that gas tank would cost him almost $1000 to replace, which seems kinda crazy next to ours that is what, $200-$300? I still kinda think of Harley riders as the Apple fanboys of the motorcycle community :p

That being said, there's a cruiser or two I wouldn't mind having in addition to my 6R if I had more money than sense.

Some observations..

Most of the riders that brag about their engine size have small dicks!(i think)

I used to ride with a Sunday group called the triple digit. They would flat get it. I noticed they never bragged about how powerful their bikes were. They just road the hell out of them.

A lot of the riders that talk a lot can ride 50 miles and then they need a break!!

If you like all types and brands--you are a motorcyclist. If you are stuck on one then you are in it for a ego boost.

25K for a HD is complete insanity.

Man I feel lighter!!:D

LOL

Remind me those porn movie with Dude with 18" dick. They still only use 1/3 of it before the poor midget start screaming... NO MORE!:D:D:D

OUCH NO MORE KITTEH BRINGS YOU:

Yea on this.. I posted something before on some rant somehwere on here.. i think.. haha anyways.. my basic thought is that none of those guys will ever be able ride there bikes to its limits. There faster in a straight line and more than likely thats about the only thing they could be faster in.
But it's all about appearance. They appear to be faster and cooler and more bad ass until they take a turn wide off of a cliff.
Rant complete.

Well.... bigger is better???????? In what sense?
In the 1st place I dont understand why people even buy track bikes for daily commuting? ONLY 1 ANSWER - SHOW OFF.

FZ6R is not at all a beginner bike. A bike that can do 130 MPH cannot be a beginner bike. Its an all round performer.

Recently it was in news that a 19 year old got killed on GSXR 1000. It was his 1st bike that his dad gifted him. Is bigger still better?? LOL.

Don't really want to get into this rant, but I can assure you that the FZ6R is just as difficult to ride well, if not more so, than a Goldwing.

I might not be exaggerating if I said that the FZ6R was actually one of the hardest bikes to ride well, that I ever rode. I would also say that the power band wasn't dramatically different than the FJR.

Yes, that's right. HD uses a Porsche designed engine. Let me know when the new 911's engine is designed by Harley engineers.

Give me a break. There's a reason the engineering is going one way; from Germany to HD, not the other way around.

If that's all you got, maybe you should do more homework.

Actually I am right.. about everything.. you two are both wrong :D

Haha! You know what's funny? This thread is about annoying pissing contests over bikes, and there's pissing contests over bikes in the thread! "I like Harleys" "Harleys suck!" "No, they're good" "No, they suck" "No, really, they're good" "No, really, they suck".

Isn't it this exact kind of attitude that's annoying to the OP and others.

I agree. I was merely defending HDs and bikes of that ilk, because I believe all bikes have a purpose. To compare a FZ6R to a big Vtwin is kind of silly...apples and oranges. That's like saying a Ferrari is a stupid car because it can't tow nearly as much cargo as your F150.

I know, and you are 100% correct. I was responding to the people on here that are throwing up the "this or that bike sucks" comments. I just found it humorous that the original topic was how there are those people out there that snub their noses at other bikes, and then people do the exact same thing in the thread.

I dunno, maybe I find it humorous cuz I'm so retarded. :tard: ;)
