opinions on bubble windscreen?

Was wondering if anyone switched from stock to a bubble windscreen?


I found one that is called a "bubble" that has tint near the bottom, has an FZ6R logo on the front and claims to be about an inch taller than stock.

Does bubble imply that the shape is different and does it make a noticable difference for wind?

It does for me, but opinions differ.

Many people have this mod, use the search function to find it, as this has been asked many times. The bubble is a different screen then stock.

Absolutely 1+ on the search feature, but to answer your question, I have the double bubble and I think that it made a difference. After getting a new helmet also helped. Good luck.

I'd have to agree with these guys. It has been good for me so far. I haven't been at interstate speeds yet, but from what I can tell, it definitely diverts wind over and around me. I can tell there is less turbulence. You may want to check reviews of taller riders. I'm only 5' 7" and I've read some reviews that say air hits them in a worse spot with the Bubble screen than it did before.

I did... and it's a little better (I'm 6'1")...

wish Marthy had his offering sooner, I would have skipped the db route....
if you're tall, skip it and wait for Marthy's next batch, or his spare if none of the others get messed up. if you're average height, it might be perfect.

speaking of... I may part with my db and just switch between 22" tour/commute and sport mode (may cut stocky a couple of inches)

The double bubble screen looks like this:

Although mine is the dark smoke version of the screen which is actually a bit shorter then stock. I never rode with my stock screen though.
