With contest winnings, I believe it's around 25%. With the lottery, it can be almost half when all is said and done. And as it's considered part of your yearly income, some prizes have a nasty added tax of dropping you in a higher bracket; as happened to quite a few of those audience members that Oprah gave a "free" car to.For those of us in Aus, whats the tax part you boys always cry about?Is it sales tax or a yearly registration tax or the like?!
Was able to pick up the 2014 Suzuki GSX-R600 that I won from Suzuki and the Progressive International Motorcycle Show this last Saturday morning. Will post the PR picture when can get it. Sweet ride and amazing acceleration. Now have the three bikes in the garage and need to come up with names for the gixxer and trophy.

Really wish Suzuki would update their headlight. I have contemplated the GSXR750 as my next or additional bike, but I hate the headlight. Needs dual lights. Reminds me of the 6R headlight.
It has duals....and I can make dual projectors....

I took my Suzuki cruiser in for tires a couple weeks ago and took the time to sit on a couple bikes as its been a while. It completely reminded me why i picked this bike. The gsxr is so uncomfortable for me. Those bikes are made for the track.
Still an ugly front end. They need to update it. I've ridden the 750 and it's a great bike, except the frontal view, lol! The shape is too similar to the 6r. By the time I'm ready to get a new bike the fz1 will be redesigned. LOL

I agree Scott, I much prefer the dual headlight look of the r6, R1 etc.. I do have to give Suzuki credit though : it is a good light. Stock headlight lights up nicely and high beam is crazy bright from what I can tell so far.

Yeah it does but I would go side to side. Top light is regular and when you turn on high beam the top regular beam stays lit and the bottom bulb lights up also then.

They gsxr's are nice bikes. 600 would be a good track bike. 750 has a little more mid range. They're very well balanced bikes and feel lighter than they really are (even though they're not heavy).

Riding the bike around so far, it had power everywhere I needed it for state highway, county road and city streets and slow parking lots. The usability on low and mid range feels just as good as the 6R to me. I just adjust the degree of how I learned to feather the clutch, use rear break and throttle at the same time.

Need some more pics!! The more time you get on it, the more you're going to love it!! Might make you want to jump into a 750 down the road.

Seems like naked is really popular right now, my nephew has a street triple, fairly upright seating position, which is a blast to ride but its ugly. Looks like a bug from the front, the headlights stick way out and looks like a mass of bolts from the side.
