Hi I am John im currently a student i live in rancho cucamonga ca and i just got a brand new fz6r raven its my first bike just got it today and rode 80 miles mix with mountain riding, freeway and the street the first time i got on a bike was last week o ya and i ride in full gear

New 09 FZ6R Rider

Hey there - I'm a new rider, new to the forums, and new to my 'new' (get a theme here?) '09 FZ6R.

So far just browsing through there seems to be a ton of good info and good people here, so thanks for having this community!

I've got just over 1500 miles now with a combination of mountain (great twisties in the Boulder/Golden area of Colorado), city, and highway traffic. My bike is my primary form of transportation - and I'm now officially bummed out with our first snow having set in. I'll be trying to cure that by doing a bunch of tweaks to it over the winter, so I'll be posting pics/questions as I go.

New 09 Raven FZ6R member

Hi, my name is Brian and I have myself a 2009 Raven Fz6r with some slight cosmetic mods. Love the bike as it was a huge jump from my ninja 250, and loving the quality of a yami.
Ive been following the forum for the last few months and I'm liking what im seeing, it feels good to be a part of the system!:zombie:

i know i posted all over the place on this forum haha just dont remember if i posted here or not... any way even if i did, for those who didnt read it or havent gotten to know me, my name is Jon.. yes without the H my friends call me leprechaun ( i spell it wrong because of Xbox live) because im 5'2 ish 5'3 i live and was born in Virginia, i have been riding since i was 9 and am looking to get an fz6r as my first official street legal bike.

im a network specialist, computer tech, work retail and plan on studying motorcycle mechanics here in the near future.

Got my Yellow Yummy about 3 months ago and love it. Only been riding officially about a year now but feel so comfortable on the FZ6R. Got a Two brothers exhaust and Power Commander. Love the sound from the Two brothers.
I'm formerly what you call a Condition Monitoring Specialist but work as a Reliability Engineer now at a nuclear power station in South Africa, well the only nuclear power station in Africa.
I've learned so much from this forum already and will keep coming back for tips, info and general biking stuff; glad I joined.

In 1 hour and 15 minutes, I will be the proud owner of a 2012 FZ6R. It's my first bike. Nervous and excited at the same time. Will be picking up the book to get my motorcycle endorsement and will also find a safety class. Wanting to do this the right way...46 year old bones don't mend like they did at 18.

Welcome and you can learn a lot from just reading posts here. Some of us have made mistake or two including me. If you new riders can learn a trick or two from us,,,, great. Safe riding, get yourself some gear and enjoy the bike!

I'm Rich from Indiana. Just picked up a 2009 yesterday with 3300 miles. It's my second bike, coming from a 2001 Honda Shadow Sabre and just figured I'd try something different to see if I like the more sporty side of things.

I just sold my car and am going for a four season rider, until I want to buy a car i guess. lol. I m in college and my roomate just bought a motorcycle. We've been wanting to ride together for 2 years. Finally I can. I plan on doing most of my own maintenance, being an marine engineer major. thankyou.
