New member welcome thread

Thank you for all the welcomes. Happy to report I rode 150 miles on my new FZ6R today. Did all back roads of Santa Cruz Mountains in No. Cal and it did awesome!! Tires are more scrubbed in now...yahoooo!!! :D

Bloodypulp, I think I made a great choice too. Thank you...!!

You are very welcome and you fit your bike very nicely, unlike some of us. Huh Antny

Hello all.

I've been a member for a while but never posted. I got my 09 yellow fz6r July 6 2010. Its my first and only motorcycle. Got my license through MSF back in may 2011.

My wife's cousin started renting the backing from me about 6 months ago and is supposed to get it back to me within a month so. I'm really looking forward to riding again, especially with my daily commute getting worse due to construction.

Hi, I am a proud owner of a beautiful Pearl White 2012 FZ6R. I am 5'2 and it feels comfortable on the ball of my feets. Going to Corbin for a custom seat and hoping it will help drop the seat height to 29 or 29.5. I am trying to figure out all the mods I can do...... like eliminating the ugly tail signal lights and the front ones too.

Just sold my 2006 BMW F650GS, but still hanging on to my 2011 CBR250R. Bought the CBR in Sept. of 2011 and it has 12500 miles on it. You can say I kind of like riding. ;)

Looking forward to riding my FZ6R more so I can break her in. Very excited...!!!

Thanks,

Toni

I'm going to send my seat to Spencers Motorcycle Seat Mods in Florida to have it shaved. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Speaking of the Honda CBR250R, I had one, but I traded it in on the new FZ6R. They are nice little bikes and the fuel millage is fantastic. I was getting well over 80 MPG. I'm going to miss that!!

Timobo, can't wait to see your seat when you get it back. I got my beautiful seat done from Corbin yesterday. It took all day, but the end results was worth it. I will post some pictures later. It helped with the height a little bit, but very comfortable.

I still like my CBR250R a lot. Don't know if I would want to sell it yet. The gas mileage on this bike is incredible.

New member here. New to motorcycles for that matter. I take my new rider course the first week of May. After talking with several friends who are long time riders, I decided on an FZ6R as my first bike. Did the paperwork today and will pick her up on the 5th when I get the little "M" on my license. :) The local dealer had a leftover 2012 in Raven.
